    • In South Florida, the Panthers aimed to advance to the second round against the Lightning. After a scoreless first, Carter Verhaeghe scored his fourth of the postseason to put Florida up 1-0 and then Aleksander Barkov got his first of the playoffs with a power play goal. Victor Hedman then got the Bolts on the board with his first of the playoffs. In the third, Aleksander Barkov scored his second of the night to put Florida back up two and then Evan Rodrigues scored to put the Cats up three. In the second, Valeri Nichushkin scored on the power play to put the Avs back in the lead and then Cal Makar got his second to put Colorado up two.     • In Washington, it is must win for the Capitals as they hosted the Rangers. In the first, Kaap Kaako scored his first of the playoffs to put New York up 1-0 but then Martin Fehervary scored his second to tie the game for Washington. Then, New York went up 2-1 when Vincent Trocheck scored a power play goal. In the second, Hendrix Lapierre scored his first of the postseason as Washington evened the score. In the third, Artemi Panarin scored a power play goal to put New York back in the lead and then Jack Roslovic scored a power play goal on the empty net as the Rangers defeat the Capitals 4-2 and advance to the second round.
