Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Islanders – Game 4 – 2p ET

  • On Long Island the New York Islanders would look to keep their playoff hopes alive as they face elimination in Game 4 by the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Seth Jarvis would strike for the Canes to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Mathew Barzal would score to tie the game at one for the Isles. Then in the third period Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score to give the Isles the lead, but Stefan Noesen would score on the powerplay to tie the game at two and send the game to overtime for the Canes. After a scoreless 20 minutes of extra hockey, Barzal would get his second of the game to give the Islanders the 3-2 victory over the Hurricanes in double overtime, and force a Game 5.

Florida Panthers v. Tampa Bay Lightning – Game 4 – 5p ET

  • In Tampa Bay the Lightning would look to stave off elimination as they host the Florida Panthers in a crucial Game 4, and in the first period Steven Stamkos, Brandon Hagel, and Brayden Point would score to give the Bolts the 3-0 lead. In the second period Hagel would net his second of the game for the Bolts, but goals from Carter Verhaeghe, Sam Reinhart, and Oliver Ekman-Larsson would get the Panthers back within one. Then in the third period Stamkos would score his second of the game and Nick Paul would score to give the Lightning the 6-3 victory over the Panthers to force a Game 5 in their series.

Boston Bruins v. Toronto Maple Leafs – Game 4 – 8p ET

  • In Toronto, the Maple Leafs would look to even the series at two games a piece as they host the Boston Bruins for Game 4 of their first round series, and in the first period James van Riemsdyk would score to give the B’s the 1-0 lead. In the second period Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak would score to grow the B’s lead to three. Then in the third period Mitch Marner would score for the Leafs, but it would not be enough as the Bruins would go on to defeat the Maple Leafs 3-1 to take the 3-1 series lead as it heads back to Boston for Game 5.
