Carolina Hurricanes v. New York Rangers – Game 1 – 4p ET
- In the first game of the second round, the New York Rangers would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Jaccob Slavin would score for the Canes, but Mika Zibanejad would net a pair of goals and Vincent Trocheck would score to give the Rangers the 3-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Martin Necas would score to get the Canes back within one, but Artemi Panarin would score to give the Rangers the 4-2 lead. Seth Jarvis would strike to get the Canes back within one once again, but it would not be enough as the Rangers would go on to win Game 1 over the Hurricanes 4-3.
Vegas Golden Knights v. Dallas Stars – Game 7 – 730p ET
- In Dallas for Game 7, the Stars look to take down the Vegas Golden Knights to advance to the second round, and in the first period Wyatt Johnston would score to give the Stars the 1-0 lead. In the second period Brett Howden would score to tie the game at one for the Knights. Then in the third period Radek Faksa would score to give Dallas the 2-1 victory over the Golden Knights and move on to the second round against the Colorado Avalanche.
