- In Dallas for Game 5 the Stars would look to take the series lead over the Vegas Golden Knights, and in the first period Mark Stone and William Carrier would score for the Knights while Evgenii Dadonov and Matt Duchene would score for the Stars for the 2-2 tie. In the second period Jason Robertson would score to give the Stars the 3-2 lead. Then it would be a scoreless third period as the Stars would hold the Golden Knights at bay for the 3-2 victory and take the 3-2 series lead.
