- The NHL announced the finalists for the Vezina Trophy for Goaltender of the Year.
- The finalists are Sergei Bobrovsky (FLA), Thatcher Demko (VAN), and Connor Hellebuyck (WIN).

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Florida Panthers – Game 5 – 7p ET
- In South Florida, the Panthers aimed to advance to the second round against the Lightning. After a scoreless first, Carter Verhaeghe scored his fourth of the postseason to put Florida up 1-0 and then Aleksander Barkov got his first of the playoffs with a power play goal. Victor Hedman then got the Bolts on the board with his first of the playoffs. In the third, Aleksander Barkov scored his second of the night to put Florida back up two and then Evan Rodrigues scored to put the Cats up three. Then, Carter Verhaeghe scored an empty netter to put Florida up 5-1 and then Niko Mikkola scored an empty netter of his own as the Panthers dominated the Lightning 6-1 and advance to the second round.
