  • In Boston for the decisive Game 5 of the PWHL Finals, Minnesota would look to make Boston pay for ruining their hopes of lifting the Walter Cup on home ice, and after a scoreless first period Liz Schepers would score to give Minnesota the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Michela Cava and Kendal Coyne Schofield would score to give Minnesota the 3-0 victory over Boston to become the inaugural 2024 PWHL Walter Cup Champions. Nicole Hensley would stop all 17 shots faced to earn the shutout.
