New York v. Toronto – 1230p ET
- At the Mattamy Athletic Centre history would be made as Toronto would host New York for the first ever PWHL game, and in the first period Ella Shelton would make history as she would score the first goal in PWHL history, and Alex Carpenter would have the honor of registering the first assist in PWHL history as New York would take the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second Carpenter would snipe one top shelf to grow New York’s lead to two and Jill Saulnier and Kayla Vespa would both strike to give New York the 4-0 victory over Toronto. Corinne Schroeder would stop all 29 shots faced to earn the first PWHL shutout and win in league history.
