Today in the NWHL we had three more player signings for the 2019-20 season.
First we have the Metropolitan Riveters signing former Russian National Team player Tatiana Shatalova.
Shatalova, who will be turning 20 on Saturday, has spent the last five seasons in the Russian Women’s Hockey League and is the youngest player to date to sign with the NWHL for the upcoming season. This will be Shatalova’s first season with the Riveters.
Next we have the Buffalo Beauts announcing that they have signed forward/defender Ashley Birdsall.
Birdsall, who is completing her ninth year of service with the Minnesota Army National Guard, wowed Beauts general manager Mandy Cronin at the recent Beauts free agent camp earning a spot on the 2019-20 roster. This will be Birdsall’s first season with the Beauts and in the NWHL.
Lastly we have the Boston Pride announcing that they have signed goaltender Victoria Hanson.
Hanson, who graduated from Boston University, had spent a season Kurfpalz Ladies of the German Frauen-Bundesliga where she would play 20 games. This will be Hanson’s first season in the NWHL and with the Pride.
All players will partake in the 50 percent cut of revenue from league sponsorship and media deals. Plus they will also receive 15 percent of revenue from apparel sold with their name on it.
TXHT will continue to provide NWHL coverage as more signings are announced.
