- On Thursday, June 5th, the NHL announced that Sean Monahan was named the Bill Masterton Memorial Award winner. Johnny Gaurdeau’s widow, Meredith, surprised Monahan with the announcement.
- Also on Thursday, the Boston Bruins named Marco Strum as Head Coach. Strum is the 30th Head Coach in franchise history.
- On Friday, the Dallas Stars announced that they dismissed Peter DeBoer as Head Coach. DeBoer had been head coach since the 2022-23 season.

Florida Panthers v. Edmonton Oilers – 8p ET – Game 2
- In Edmonton, the Oilers look to take the 2-0 series lead against the Panthers. In the first, Sam Bennett scores his 13th of the postseason on the power play but then Evander Kane evens the ice with his sixth. Evan Bouchard then scores his seventh to put Edmonton up 2-1 but then a goal from Seth Jones, his fourth, to tie the game 2-2. Leon Draisaitl then puts Edmonton back on top with a power play goal, his 10th goal of the playoffs. In the second, Florida tied the game once more when Dmitry Kulikov scored his second of the postseason and then Brad Marchand scored a shorthanded goal to give the Panthers the 4-3 lead. In the third, Corey Perry scored his eighth goal of the playoffs with 18 seconds left to tie the contest. In the second overtime, Brad Marchand scores his second goal of the contest as the Panthers even the series with the Oilers with the 5-4 win.
