- On Saturday, June 7th, the NHL announced Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery as the winner of the Jack Adams Award.
- On Monday, June 9th, the NHL announced Sarah Dunkel-Jackson as the winner of the Willie O’Ree Community Hero Award.
- On Monday, June 9th, Washington Capitals forward TJ Oshie announced his retirement from the NHL.
- Oshie played 16 seasons for the St. Louis Blues (7 seasons) and Capitals (9 seasons), playing in 1,010 regular season games.
- Oshie is a one-time NHL All-Star (w/ WAS), and won the Stanley Cup in 2018 (w/ WAS).
- In the PWHL, the Expansion Draft for both Seattle and Vancouver took place with both teams selecting 7 players each to join the 5 they both signed in the Signing Period last week.

Edmonton Oilers v. Florida Panthers – 8p ET – Game 3
- In Florida for Game 3, the Panthers look to continue with the momentum as the series comes home as they host the Edmonton Oilers, and in the first period, Brad Marchand opened the scoring for the Panthers in the opening minute of the game, and then late in the period while on the powerplay, Carter Verhaeghe scored to give the Panthers the 2-0 lead in what was a penalty filled first period.
In the second period, Corey Perry would strike on the powerplay to get the Oilers on the board and back within one less than two minutes into the period, but 80 seconds later, Sam Reinhart would score to reclaim the two goal lead for the Panthers. Moments later, Sam Bennett scored his 14th of the playoffs to give the Panthers the 4-1 lead.
Then in the third period things got spicy as Aaron Ekblad scored on the powerplay to give the Panthers the 5-1 lead, and end Stuart Skinner’s night in net for the Oilers. After that, things exploded for a combined 124 penalty minutes between the two teams seeing a fight and eight misconducts amongst the penalties. Evan Rodrigues would score a powerplay goal amongst the chaos to give the Panthers the 6-1 victory over the Oilers to take the 2-1 series lead.
