Calgary Flames v. Chicago Blackhawks – 3p ET
In Chicago, the Blackhawks hosted the Flames and in the first Colin Blackwell scored his second of the year to put Chicago up 1-0 but then Nazem Kadri scored his 12th of the year to even the score. In the second, Andrew Mangiapane scored his eighth of the year on the power play to put the Flames up 2-1 but then a pair of goals from Philipp Kurashev and Nikita Zaitsev put Chicago back up a goal. In the third, Colin Blackwell scored his second of the night to put the ‘Hawks up two but then Nazem Kadri scored his second of the night. However, the Blackhawks held on to get the 4-3 win over the Flames.
In the Nation’s Capital, Washington welcomed Los Angeles for the lone time on the season. After a scoreless first, Nic Dowd scored his sixth of the year to put Washington up 1-0 but then Los Angeles got a pair of goals when Adrian Kempe scored on the power play and then Kevin Fiala scored his ninth of the year. Then, Dylan Strome evened the scored with his 15th of the year. In the third, Kevin Fiala scored his second of the night to put the Kings up 3-2 but then the Caps tied it up when Nicolas Aube-Kubel scored his fourth of the year. Then, John Carlson scored his third of the year to give the Capitals the 4-3 win over the Kings.
In Arizona, the Coyotes hosted the Jets and in the first Vladislav Namestnikov scored his fifth of the year to put Winnipeg up 1-0. In the second, Nikolaj Ehlers scored his 14th of the year to put the Jets up 2-0 but then Arizona got on the board when Nick Schmaltz scored his 12th goal of the year. Then, Cole Perfetti was credited with the goal when Arizona scored on its own net to put the Jets up two. In the third, Mark Scheifele scored his 13th to put Winnipeg up three but then Dylan Guenther scored his first of the year to bring Arizona within two. Then, Mark Scheifele scored his second of the night to put Winnipeg up three and then Adam Lowry scored his eighth of the year to give the Jets the 6-2 win over the Coyotes.
In Anaheim, the Ducks hosted the Red Wings for the lone time on the year and in the first Anaheim took the 1-0 lead when Trevor Zegras scored his third but then Dylan Larkin scored his 14th on the power play to tie the game. In the second, Detroit took the 2-1 lead with Joe Veleno’s eighth of the year. In the third, Trevor Zegras scored his second of the night to even the score for the Ducks but then Michael Rasmussen scored his ninth of the year to give the Red Wings the 3-2 win over the Ducks.

Montreal v. Minnesota – 330p ET
In Minnesota more history would be made as the PWHL would fill the Xcel Energy Center with over 13,000 hockey fans as Minnesota would host Montreal. In the first period Grace Zumwinkle would score to give Minnesota the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Zumwinkle would score two more goals for the first ever PWHL hat trick and give Minnesota the 3-0 victory over Montreal. The win would be a first by a home team this season, and Maddie Rooney would stop all 24 shots faced to earn the shutout.
It would be a busy Saturday in the NHL as we would be treated to a 12 game schedule including several one goal games.

The Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins would make a trade.
The Blackhawks would acquire forward Rem Pitlick.
The Penguins would acquire a Conditional 2026 7th Round Pick.
The Penguins have acquired a conditional seventh-round draft pick in the 2026 NHL Draft from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Rem Pitlick.
The acquisition of the pick gives the Penguins nine selections in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Calgary Flames v. Philadelphia Flyers – 1p ET
In Philadelphia the Flyers would honor their founder and original owner Ed Snider as they took on the Calgary Flames, and after a scoreless first period both teams would trade goals as Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar would score for the Flames while Morgan Frost and Sean Couturier would strike for the Flyers for the 2-2 tie. Then in a very feisty third period Travis Konecny would score shorthanded to give the Flyers the 3-2 victory over the Flames.
In Colorado the Avalanche would host the Florida Panthers for an afternoon matinee, and in the first period the Panthers would pounce with a goal from Carter Verhaeghe and a pair of goals from Sam Reinhart for the 3-0 lead. In the second period Cale Makar, Josh Manson, and Valeri Nichushkin would score for the Avs to tie the game at three in the opening five minutes of the period, but Oliver Ekman-Larsson would score to retake the lead for the Panthers. Then in the third period Jonathan Drouin would strike to tie the game at four for the Avs, but Reinhart would complete the hat trick, Kevin Stenlund and Matthew Tkachuk would score, and Verhaeghe would net his second of the game to give the Panthers the 8-4 victory over the Avalanche.
In Boston the Bruins would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Brayden Point would strike to give the Bolts the 1-0 lead, but goals from Trent Frederic and Charlie McAvoy would give the B’s the 2-1 lead. In the second period both teams would record a pair of goals as Nikita Kucherov and Point would strike for the Bolts, and Frederic and David Pastrnak would score for the B’s to keep the one goal lead. Then in the third period Morgan Geekie, Jake DeBrusk, and Charlie Coyle would score to give the Bruins the 7-3 victory over the Lightning.
In Columbus the Blue Jackets would take on the Minnesota Wild, and in the first period Cole Sillinger would open the score for the Jackets, but Matt Boldy would score to tie the game at one. In the second period both Sillinger and Boldy would net their second goals of the game to keep the game tied up at two. Then in the third period Sillinger would score to complete the hat trick and give the Jackets the 3-2 lead, but Marcus Johansson would score to tie the game at three for the Wild to force overtime. In the extra frame Marco Rossi would strike to give the Wild the 4-3 victory over the Blue Jackets.
In Montreal for Hockey Night in Canada the Canadiens would play host fellow Original Six member the New York Rangers, and in the first period Brendan Gallagher would score to give the Habs the 1-0 lead. In the second period Sean Monahan and Joel Armia would score to give the Habs the 3-0 lead, but goals from Vincent Trocheck and Artemi Panarin would get the Rangers back within two. Then in the third period Adam Fox would score to tie the game at three for the Rangers to force overtime. After a scoreless extra five minutes of action it would be Cole Caufield with the winner in the shootout to give the Canadiens the 4-3 victory over the Rangers.
In New Jersey the Vancouver Canucks would come to town to take on the Devils, and after a scoreless first period Elias Pettersson would score and JT Miller would net a pair of goals to give the Canucks the 3-0 lead, but Colin Miller and Erik Haula would score to bring the Devils back within one. However, Conor Garland would score to give the Canucks the two goal lead before the second period ended. Then in the third period Colin Miller would net his second of the game and Brendan Smith would score for the Devils, but Pettersson’s second of the game and Dakota Joshua would score to give the Canucks the 6-4 victory over the Devils.
In Pittsburgh the Penguins would battle the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Alex Tuch would net his 10th of the season to give the Sabres the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second Rickard Rakell would score for the Pens, but Zemgus Girgensons and Rasmus Dahlin would score to give the Sabres the 3-1 victory over the Penguins.
In San Jose the Toronto Maple Leafs would come to town to faceoff with the Sharks, and in the first period Mitch Marner would score to give the Leafs the 1-0 lead. In the second period Calle Jarnkrok would score to grow the Leafs lead to two. Then in the third period Mikael Granlund would score for the Sharks, but William Nylander would net his 20th and 21st of the season to give the Maple Leafs the 4-1 victory over the Sharks.
In Carolina the Hurricanes would take on the visiting St. Louis Blues, and in the first period Nathan Walker would score to give the Blues the first period, but Teuvo Teravainen would score to tie the game at one for the Canes. Then after a scoreless 45 minutes of hockey it would be Brayden Schenn with the winner as the Blues would get the 2-1 shootout victory over the Hurricanes.
In Dallas the Stars would face the Nashville Predators in a Central Division matchup, and in the first period Gustav Nyquist would score to give the Preds the 1-0 lead. In the second period Luke Evangelista would score to grow the Preds lead to two, but goals from Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn would tie the game at two for the Stars. Then in the third period Jason Robertson would score for the Stars, but Filip Forsberg would score a pair of goals for the Predators to defeat the Stars 4-3.

PWHL action would return after a day off as New York would host Toronto, and in the first period Abby Roque would score for New York to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Natalie Spooner and Alexa Vasko would score to give Toronto the 2-1 lead, but Alex Carpenter would score to tie the game at two for New York. Then in the third period Emma Maltais would score the first shorthanded goal in PWHL history to give Toronto the 3-2 victory over New York as they earned their first win in franchise history.

In the second period Brent Burns would score to get the Canes on the board and back within one. Then in the third period the Canes would get goals from Seth Jarvis, Andrei Svechnikov, Burns, Orlov, and Vasily Ponomarev to give the Canes the 6-2 victory over the Capitals.

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
In Boston, the Bruins welcomed the Penguins and in the first Boston took the 1-0 lead with Brad Marchand scoring his 14th of the year but then Pittsburgh tied the contest when Drew O’Connor scored his fifth of the year. Then a Ryan Graves goal gave Pittsburgh the 2-1 lead but then David Pastrnak’s 23rd tied it up for the B’s. Then, the Pens took the 3-2 lead with Jake Guentzel’s 18th of the year and then Lars Eller scored his seventh of the year to put Pittsburgh up 4-2. In the second, Jeff Carter scored his fifth to put the Penguins up three but then Boston got a pair from Morgan Geekie and Jake DeBrusk to make it a one score game. In the third, Brad Marchand scored his second of the night on a power play to tie the game but then Sidney Crosby scored the game winner on the power play to give the Penguins the 6-5 win over the Bruins.
In Montreal, the Canadiens welcomed the Sabres and after a scoreless first, Casey Mittelstadt scored his 11th of the year on the power play to give the Sabres the 1-0 lead and then Jeff Skinner scored his 16th of the year, also on the power play, to put Buffalo up 2-0. Then, Joel Armia scored a shorthanded goal, his fifth of the year, to put Montreal on the board. In the third, Jack Quinn scored his fourth of the year to put the Sabres back up two and then Tage Thompson notched his 11th of year to make it a 4-1 Buffalo lead. Then, Rasmus Dahlin but Buffalo up four with his 11th of the year and then Tage Thompson scored his second of the year to give the Sabres the 6-1 win over the Canadiens.
In New York City, the Rangers hosted the Blackhawks in an Original Six match up and in the first, Artemi Panarin scored his 24th of the year to put New York up 1-0. In the second, Chris Kreider scored a power play goal, his 20th goal of the season, to put the Blueshirts up 2-0 but then Colin Blackwell scored his first of the year to put Chicago on the board. In the third, Jacob Trouba scored his third to put New York up two and then Jimmy Vesey scored the game winner to give the Rangers the 4-1 win over the Blackhawks.

In the City of Brotherly Love, the Flyers welcomed the Blue Jackets and in the first Philadelphia took the 1-0 lead when Travis Konecny scored his 19th of the year. After a scoreless second, Travis Konecny scored his second of the night to put the Flyers up two but then Columbus got a pair when Damon Severson and Jake Bean scored. After the scoreless overtime, Johnny Gaudreau scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Blue Jackets the 3-2 victory over the Flyers.
In Dallas, the Stars hosted the Avalanche. In the first, Dallas took the 1-0 when Evgenii Dadonov scored his ninth of the year but then Nathan MacKinnon scored his 21st of the year to tie the game. In the second, Tyler Seguin scored his 12th of the year to put Dallas up 2-1 and then Joe Pavelski scored a power play goal, his 15th goal of the year, to put the Stars up two. Then, Jonathan Drouin scored his seventh of the year on a power play to bring the Avs within a goal. In the third, Tyler Seguin scored his second of the game to give Dallas the two goal lead but then Colorado got a pair when Jonathan Drouin scored his second of the night and then Mikko Rantanen scored his 20th to tie the game for Colorado. In overtime, Nathan MacKinnon scored the game winner to give the Avalanche the 5-4 win over the Stars.
In Minnesota, the Wild hosted the Lightning and after a scoreless first, Darren Raddysh scored a pair of goals in the second to give Tampa Bay the 2-0 lead. In the third, Victor Hedman scored his sixth of the year on the power play to put the Bolts up 3-0 but then Zach Bogosian’s first of the year put Minnesota on the board. However, Brandon Hagel went on to score the empty netter to give the Lightning the 4-1 win over the Wild.
In Nashville, the Predators welcomed the Flames back to Music City USA and in the first Calgary took the 1-0 lead when Connor Zary scored his eighth of the year and then Blake Coleman made it a 2-0 Flames lead. Then, Filip Forsberg scored his 19th of the year to put Nashville on the board but then Nazem Kadri’s 11th of the year gave the Flames the two goal lead back. Colton Sissons then brought the Preds within a goal once more with his 12th of the year but then Rasmus Andersson’s sixth of the year made it a 4-2 Calgary lead. In the second, Noah Hanifin’s sixth of the year gave the Flames the three goal lead. In the third, Michael McCarron’s sixth of the year brought Nashville within two but Yegor Sharangovich’s 12th of the year gave the Flames the 6-3 win over the Predators.
In St. Louis, the Blues welcomed the Canucks and in the first Vancouver took the 1-0 lead when Conor Garland scored his fourth of the year. In the second, St. Louis tied the contest when Colton Parayko score his seventh of the year. In the third, Robert Thomas scored his 16th of the year to give the Blues the 2-1 victory over the Canucks.
