Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the New Jersey Devils heritage jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.
Right back at it with our second heritage themed Cool Hockey Mystery Box, and this one pays homage to when the New Jersey Devils first moved to from Colorado in 1982. Before coming to New Jersey, the Kansas City Scouts joined the NHL in 1974, along with the Washington Capitals, but they would move to Colorado to become the Rockies in 1976. Then in 1982 the Rockies would move to New Jersey to become the Devils.
When the Devils first started playing their colors would be red, white, and green. The Devils would then switch over from the green to the black that we’ve grown accustomed to in 1992.
For this Mystery Box acquisition, we would also obtain our second Hall of Famer in former Capital, and Devils legend, Scott Stevens. This would also become the second Stevens jersey for my collection.
I really like how the Devils will do a game or two a season wearing this jersey. They’ve been doing so since 2018, and was even inspiration for the Devils first Reverse Retro jersey in 2021. Overall, this is a really nice jersey to have in the collection.
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the St. Louis Blues heritage alternate jersey courtesy of CoolHockey.com.
Over the last few months I’ve ordered a few Cool Hockey Mystery Boxes, and here we have Box #3, and I honestly like the theme I got with the first batch of boxes. The theme I got was Hall of Famers with a heritage homage.
The Jersey
Starting off out in the Midwest as we would get the St. Louis Blues heritage alternate jersey. This jersey first debuted at the 2017 NHL Winter Classic, and then became their regular alternate jersey during the 2018-19 season, and has been the alternate jersey since.
The jersey features the inaugural blue and gold, and in the style jerseys that the team wore starting back in 1967 when they came into the NHL. It’s a very solid jersey and it’s simplicity is what makes it an instant classic of a jersey.
One of the nice things about the Mystery Boxes from Cool Hockey is that the majority of the jerseys this time around would be customized, and this one would not disappoint as I would receive a player that a lot of people really love, especially in St. Louis. The player would be none other than Hockey Hall of Famer, Brett Hull.
Overall, this is a really awesome jersey, and one that I’m happy to have in my collection.
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the View Askew Girls of the VASHL jersey.
The View Askew Girls (or VAG as they are also known as), is a currently defunct team in the VASHL. The team was created in 2010 with both the endorsement and sponsorship of Kevin Smith’s wife Jennifer Schwalbach.
The teams colors are pink and black, and the logo features four women as a homage to the international jewel thieves Sissy, Missy (played by Schwalbach), Chrissy, and Justice from the Smith film “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back”.
The jersey has a nice retro feel to the former International Hockey League (IHL) team Las Vegas Thunder in regard to the design of the jersey, and the way the colors are setup for the jersey. For the shirsey, it is just a pink shirt with the logo.
I really like the font used for the names and numbers. They give a very relaxed vibe to them.
Overall, these are nice jerseys. Hopefully I’ll get to wear them in a game in the future as we know the pandemic really screwed up a lot of things for us, and as we continue to get back to normalcy at our on speeds, one day that’ll hopefully happen.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Minnesota Wild’s “The 78’s” alternate jersey.
The Jersey
After two successful runs with the Reverse Retro program that saw the Minnesota Wild utilize the old Minnesota North Stars jersey style and colors, but with their logo. The Wild would revive their their second version of the Reverse Retro and nickname it “The 78’s”.
Called “The 78’s” in honor of 1978 Minnesota North Stars who wore this jersey design and colors. The Wild would make some additions to the jersey. For one, they would incorporate a “State of Hockey” patch that would go onto the right shoulder, and then for the C and A’s for the leadership group, the letter would be in a patch in the shape of the state of Minnesota.

I picked up my Wild “The 78’s” jersey on Nov. 2nd when the Wild hosted the New Jersey Devils for the second game of their home and home series, which I was also in New Jersey for the first game between these two teams a few days earlier, from their team store The Hockey Lodge, and the staff was super nice there.
Fun Little Story
Unfortunately, the Wild did not wear the 78’s against the Devils that night, but they did two nights later against the New York Rangers, and well, let’s just say there was a fun little bet at Twin Cities Con with “Clerks” franchise actor Brian O’Halloran.
At the “Clerks” panel Brian noted that he was leaving early to go to the Wild game against his favorite team the New York Rangers, and then one of the attendees bet that if the Wild beat the Rangers then Brian would need to wear a Wild jersey. Brian agreed and said that he was a size 52, which is what I wear for my jerseys.
Well, low and behold, the Wild defeated the Rangers in the shootout and I made sure to beeline right to Brian’s table first thing when the con opened up for it’s final day, and I gave the jersey to his handler, for which she wrote on a post-it note “Ha Ha!” and put it with the jersey. A little later I came back and there was Brian, wearing the jersey. I took a few pictures of him with the jersey on, and of course, we got a picture of us together too. Brian is a great guy, and you can see him at a convention near you.
Overall Thoughts
Overall, I like the jersey. The colors are amazing, and it really does work with the Wild’s logo. The jersey give a fresh look that is also vibrant, and that is really cool. Also, Brian O’Halloran wore my freaking jersey. Like how cool is that!

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey with a very special customization courtesy of CoolHockey.com.
With what could be the end of my Reverse Retro 2.0 run here in the TXHT Jersey Share Series, we end it in high standing with the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro jersey from this past season, and as mentioned above I requested for a very special customization for my jersey, and Cool Hockey was able to deliver as I was able to get the jersey customized to Ethan Bear with his name in Cree Syllabics. As many would remember, in the summer of 2021 I got the Edmonton Oilers jersey through Cool Hockey with Bear’s name in Cree as well, and while I did promise to get a Carolina Hurricanes jersey with his name in Cree, I never did because the Canes barely played him. When they traded him to the Canucks, I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity with the release of the Reverse Retro 2.0 line.
For the Canucks Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey they went with the Vancouver legend Johnny Canuck in their colors, but with both the green and blue being a little darker compared to their normal colors. The Canucks chose to go with Johnny Canuck as a way of tribute to their past before entering the NHL.
“The Canucks’ 2022 Reverse Retro jersey is paying tribute to our namesake and bringing back the legendary 1962 Johnny Canuck. Before entering the NHL in 1970, the Vancouver Canucks debuted in the former Western Hockey League in 1945 with Johnny C as their logo, proudly displaying the beloved figure on their jerseys.
The Johnny Canuck jerseys are complete with remixed royal blue, green, and beige colours and player numbers are on the left chest and right shoulder to match the 1960’s style. “
Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the New Jersey Devils first alternate jersey in franchise history courtesy of Cool Hockey.
During the 2021-22 season the New Jersey Devils would unveil the first alternate jersey in their franchise’s history, and to mixed results at that. The Devils alternate jersey would be a black jersey, a first for the Devils, with white stripes on the shoulders and sleeves, and a white stripe for the bottom of the jersey. For the center crest the Devils would put the wordmark of “Jersey”, which would bring a lot of criticism and jokes. The wordmark logo would be dominantly white with a black outline and red shadowing, and written is a cursive font. The player nameplates would feature the player’s names in a white text with the jersey numbers in white with a black outline and red shadowing.
Joking aside, after receiving the jersey, and seeing it in person, it’s not that bad of a jersey. It takes from the Chicago Blackhawks and their past Winter Classic jersey that they wore most recently, but made it their own. Player I got was Vitek Vanecek, who the Washington Capitals traded to the Devils during the 2022 offseason. I’ve always liked Vanecek, and while he had a rough first two games for the Devils against the New York Rangers, I believe in Vanecek and his abilities to become a viable number one goaltender in the NHL. He may be backing up Akira Schmid right now, but VV will get his time to shine once again.
Overall, it’s a unique jersey, and one that I like having in the collection. It’s customized to a player that I like, and one that I could see myself wearing when the appropriate time comes.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the 2023 NHL All Star jersey for Eastern Conference All Star, and Washington Capitals forward, Alex Ovechkin courtesy of Cool Hockey.
For the 2023 NHL All Star Game the Florida Panthers would play host, and with this season also doing the Reverse Retro program, the All Star Game would act as the final game to introduce new jerseys to the program. Going all the way back to the epic jerseys from 1994-97, the All Star jerseys go back to the glory days of the mid 90’s of when the All Star Weekend was at its best. For the Reverse Retro program they would go with the classic star jersey, but instead of the Purple (West) and Green/Teal (East) dominant jerseys, they would go with Black (technically East) and White (technically West) for the dominant colors. For the secondary colors they would use Biscayne Blue and Flamingo Pink to give the jerseys a South Beach feel to it.
Now of course with that said, we got address the elephant in the room as there are those that claim these are horrible because they are so called “woke”, and boy those people are wrong. The point of the colors is to celebrate the locale that the All Star Weekend took place in, and the colors do give a Miami Vice vibe to them, which was the point of choosing the colors. Plus the Miami Heat of the NBA did multiple jerseys that utilized these same colors, and everybody applauded them for it, yet when the NHL did it for the All Star Game it’s “woke”? That doesn’t fly at all. It’s one thing to say you’re not a fan of something, but it’s another thing to claim something that isn’t true for the reason to not like something.
With all that said, let’s talk about the jersey now. I got myself the Eastern Conference jersey and I got mine customized to be Alex Ovechkin, and for obvious reasons. I do want to say that there are a couple things I would like to nitpick, but these things aren’t really on Cool Hockey, but more on Adidas and the NHL. For one, for as pretty as the jersey is, having iron on patches for the player numbers was a tad undesirable. Cool Hockey is known for their amazing stitched jerseys, and it feels like Adidas and the League put them in a spot where they couldn’t do that for these jerseys. The nameplate is sewn on, as are the event and team patches on the shoulders. However, for both of the shoulder patches they are more like the shoulder patches that Adidas used when they first started doing the jerseys in 2017-18, and not the real quality patches they use on the PrimeGreen jerseys today. Which feels like a bit of a letdown. Also, and this is just something I would to have love to have seen, but if you were going to do the Reverse Retro jerseys for the All Star Weekend, it would have been a lot cooler if they had used the team’s respective Reverse Retro logos instead of their actual ones. Would have made things more special for the jersey and to celebrate the Reverse Retro program too.
Overall, this is an amazing jersey, and one that I love got revived through the Reverse Retro program. Definitely a must have for any collector.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Washington Capitals 2023 Stadium Series jersey.
For the first time in franchise history the Capitals were the road team for the Stadium Series as they traveled to Raleigh, NC to take on the Carolina Hurricanes, and with this first time road trip, the Caps decided to give their Weagle logo the main logo treatment for the first time since debuting in 2007 as part of the Caps rebrand back to the red, white, and blue.
For the jersey itself, the Caps decided to go with blowing up the logo so it covers as much of the front of the jersey as possible. With the white base the Caps did the two color tone to the Weagle as it would be dominant navy blue with white to give the logo its definition. The Caps would have some red on the jerseys, but just for the bottom of the jersey and the sleeves. Navy would also be on the sleeves, and in a semi-cool way connects with the Weagle’s wings which lets the wings go onto the sleeves a little bit.
Some minor details to note, but on the Weagle’s head there is very minimal stitch work as it allows the Weagle’s head and face have more of a pop to it, and is the only true patch to the entire front of the jersey which is sublimated. Also this is the second Caps jersey to feature laces under the collar, but unlike the 2015 Winter Classic jersey, the laces are not loose, and are made to look like the a representation of the DC flag. Lastly, in the collar it says “WASHINGTON” with the W being the Caps current third jersey logo as it has the three stars above it.
Overall, it’s an ok jersey. Not one of my favorites, and honestly I was hoping for something better, but it is what it is. Also, Adidas not adding the event patch is a bummer. Luckily you can buy it and have it added onto the jersey.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at All Elite Wrestling’s first hockey jersey, which was done for CM Punk, and boy does this come with a doozy of a story.
In August of 2022 during an episode of AEW Dynamite it was announced that a presale for a CM Punk hockey jersey would become available. Obviously, being a fan of both CM Punk and collecting hockey jerseys I knew this would be one I would like to get. I preordered the jersey, and it arrived right after my birthday in October, but right before the AEW Dynamite and Rampage shows in Washington DC. Now, here’s where it got interesting. The presale for the jerseys ended during Labor Day weekend, which is also when AEW ALL OUT took place. Well, for us wrestling fans, we know what happened after the pay per view, but for those who don’t follow wrestling, here’s a quick summary of what happened.
So CM punk won the main event and became the AEW World Heavyweight Champion for the second time, and after the pay per view went off the air AEW did their post-show press conference and Punk dropped the ultimate gripe bomb that ruffled a lot of feathers. After Punk got back to his locker room a brawl ensued with the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and others. There were suspensions, titles were stripped, and Punk has also been out due to an injury he suffered from the match on ALL OUT. Overall, it was a real cluster, plus a lot of the details are not fully out there, and no one is sharing details about what went down publicly. But suffice to say, my original plan to wear the CM Punk hockey jersey to the AEW shows in DC to celebrate my birthday never happened. I just wore my AEW hoodie instead. There is talk of CM Punk returning to AEW and soon, so we’ll see in the coming weeks.
The Official Jersey Retailer of TXHT
So with that out of the way, let’s talk about the jersey. AEW and PWTees went simple, but also made it feel very like CM Punk. The white base and the black striping is very standard, but I will give them credit when it comes to two things for the striping. For one, I love how the stripe on the bottom of the jersey has a painted on feel. I like that as it gives it a bit more of a grungy feel to it. Also, for the sleeves, I like how they did two sets of three black stripes. The stripes at the bottom of the sleeves is more standard, but the stripes above the elbow was a nice touch, especially since the added the player number in there. For the main logo on the jersey in the center crest area is the standard CM Punk “Best in the World” logo that he’s used since debuting in AEW in August of 2021, and has on other merchandise like shirts and hoodies.
On the back of the jersey I like how they did the black nameplate with CM Punk’s name in red. I’m also a fan of the styling for it too as it continues with the grunge look. The number in red with a font that looks like came from the movie “30 Days of Night” gives it a nice touch, but the two stars on each side give it a nice Chicago feel to it as well. The two stars on each side of the number is also used for the numbers on the sleeves, which brings good consistency to the overall look. On last thing to note, and that is the inside part of the collar for the jersey as it features a picture of CM Punk sitting in the ring with a microphone in hand. It’s a nice little touch, and it’s a small thing that goes a long way.
Now for a few gripes of my own about the jersey. For one, and this is an overall AEW issue with all of their shirts and hoodies, but you don’t need the AEW logo right under the CM Punk “Best in the World” logo. It’s completely unnecessary. Especially since the AEW logo was put on the back of the jersey in a properly placed spot where it doesn’t take any attention away from the overall look of the jersey. Having the AEW logo underneath the wrestler’s logo is always off putting. Next gripe that I have is about the lack of patches on the jersey. We spent quite a bit for these jerseys and to have everything be sublimated onto the jersey feels like a let down. It would have been very cool to have the “Best in the World” logo, the numbers (and stars), and the CM Punk nameplate all be patches that were sewn on. It would have made the jersey pop more.
Overall, this is a nice jersey, and it’s also fitting to be with CM Punk, who also happens to be a devout Chicago Blackhawks fan. Gripes aside, it is a jersey I am happy to have in my collection, and one that I hope can wear to a future AEW show.

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the inaugural jersey for the Minnesota Wild that they wore from their debut in 2000 to the end of the 2006-07 season.
The Wild would enter the NHL along with the Columbus Blue Jackets for the 2000-01 season making them the 29th and 30th teams to enter the NHL, and both teams would come in with unique designs to make them stand out in their debut seasons.
For the Wild they decided to distance themselves from the past of the Minnesota North Stars, who would move to Dallas to become the Stars in the early 1990’s, by going with darker colors than what the North Stars had used. Gone was the bright lime green and in was the dark forest green for the primary color, while both tan and red would replace the yellow for the striping. The way they did the overall design for the jersey is very clean, and gives a fresh feel to the then incoming team. One really nice feature I really love about this jersey is the meshing used in the inner arms area. It brings really good breathability to the jersey, and it actually looks cool too.
For the logo for the center crest, we get a very cool wilderness style logo in the shape of a bear (yes, it took me 20 plus years to figure that one out too lol), and it comes with a very nice touch as it has the North Star in the logo as a nod to city’s past with the North Stars.
Overall, this is an amazing jersey, and was a really great find during my time at Twin Cities Con last year, and will be taking place again from November 3rd through 5th this year.
