- In Columbus for some Friday night action the Blue Jackets would play host to the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Dmitri Voronkov would open the scoring for the Jackets, but Zemgus Girgensons would score to tie the game at on for the Sabres. Then after a scoreless second period Connor Clifton would score his first as a Sabre to give the Sabres the 2-1 victory over the Blue Jackets.
