PWHL Recap – No Luck at Home

We would be treated to two games in the PWHL and it would be no luck at home for Montreal or Toronto as they would fall to Boston and Ottawa.

Ottawa v. Toronto – 1p ET

• Toronto would play host to Ottawa for a Battle of Ontario to start the day for the PWHL, and in the first period Katerina Mrazova, Gabbie Hughes, and Daryl Watts would score to give Ottawa the 3-0 lead. In the second period Natalie Spooner would score for Toronto to get on the board, but Natalie Snodgrass would strike to give Ottawa the three goal lead back. Then in the third period Hughes would net her second of the game to give Ottawa the 5-1 victory over Toronto.

First win in the books, delivered by UPS. 📚

Boston v. Montreal – 330p ET

• In the second game of the day Montreal would take on Boston, and after a scoreless first period Erin Ambrose and Laura Stacey would score to give Montreal the 2-0 lead, but Taylor Girard and Hannah Brandt would score to tie the game at two for Boston. Then after a scoreless third period Amanda Pelkey would score to give Boston the 3-2 overtime victory over Montreal.
