Looks like the Washington Capitals could be on the move while we would get games for our overtime excitement.

News

  • Monumental Sports & Entertainment along with the Commonwealth of Virginia, the City of Alexandria, and JBG Smith announced the framework of an agreement for an Entertainment District at Potomac Yard.
    • The framework will be anchored by an industry-leading arena for the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards of the NBA.

Game Recaps

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET

  • In Montreal the Canadiens would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period Sidney Crosby would score for the Pens, but goals from David Savard, Jayden Struble, and Sean Monahan would give the Habs the 3-1 lead. In the second period Jake Guentzel would score and Crosby would net his second of the game to tie the game at three for the Pens. Then after a scoreless third period and overtime, it would be Jansen Harkins in the 12th round of the shootout to give the Penguins the 4-3 victory over the Canadiens.

Boston Bruins v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET

  • In New Jersey the Devils would take on the Boston Bruins, and in the first period Morgan Geekie would score to give the B’s the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Dawson Mercer would score to tie the game at one for the Devils to force overtime. In the extra frame Jack Hughes would score to give the Devils the 2-1 overtime victory over the Bruins.

Anaheim Ducks v. New York Islanders – 730p ET

  • On Long Island the New York Islanders would faceoff with the Anaheim Ducks, and after a scoreless first period Kyle Palmieri and Casey Cizikas would open the scoring for the Isles to get the 2-0 lead, but Troy Terry and Adam Henrique would score to tie the game at two for the Ducks. Then in the third period Sam Carrick would strike for the Ducks, but goals from Mathew Barzal and Simon Holmstrom would give the Islanders the 4-3 victory over the Ducks.
