- The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they have placed forward Boone Jenner on Injured Reserve.
- Jenner suffered a broken jaw on Friday night and will miss approximately six weeks.

Arizona Coyotes v. Boston Bruins – 1p ET
- In Boston for an early afternoon matinee the Bruins would play host to the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period David Pastrnak and Charlie Coyle would score to give the B’s the 2-0 lead. In the second period Clayton Keller and Michael Carcone would score for the Yotes, but goals from Kevin Shattenkirk and Danton Heinen would keep the B’s ahead by two. Then in the third period Lawson Crouse would score for the Yotes, but Pastrnak’s second of the game would give the Bruins the 5-3 victory over the Coyotes.

New Jersey Devils v. Calgary Flames – 4p ET
- In Calgary the Flames look to turn up the heat against the New Jersey Devils, and in the first period former Devil Yegor Sharangovich would score to give the Flames the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt would score to give the Devils the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Nazem Kadri would score for the Flames, but goals from Alexander Holtz and Hischier would give the Devils the 4-2 victory over the Flames.

Vegas Golden Knights v. Dallas Stars – 4p ET
- In Dallas the Stars would take on the Vegas Golden Knights, and in the first period Evgenii Dadonov would score for the Stars, but goals from Chandler Stephenson, Zach Whitecloud, and Mark Stone would give the Knights the 3-1 lead. In the second period Nicholas Roy would score to grow the Knights lead to three. Then in the third period Pavel Dorofeyev and Paul Cotter would score to give the Golden Knights the 6-1 victory over the Stars.

Montreal Canadiens v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
- In Buffalo the Sabres would look to black out the Montreal Canadiens, and after a scoreless first period Jayden Struble and Nick Suzuki would score to give the Habs the 2-0 lead. However, in the third period Jeff Skinner and Kyle Okposo would score to tie the game at two for the Sabres to force overtime. Then after a scoreless extra five minutes of hockey Juraj Slafkovsky would score the winner to give the Canadiens the 3-2 shootout victory over the Sabres.

Ottawa Senators v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
- In Detroit the Ottawa Senators would come to town to take on the Red Wings, and in the first period Claude Giroux would open the scoring for the Sens, but Patrick Kane would strike for his first as a Red Wing to tie the game at one. In the second period Vladimir Tarasenko, Dominik Kubalik, and Tim Stuetzle would score to give the Sens the 4-1 lead. Then in the third period Jake Sanderson would score to give the Senators the 5-1 victory over the Red Wings.

Nashville Predators v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto the Maple Leafs would host the Nashville Predators for Hockey Night in Canada, and after a scoreless first period David Kampf and Auston Matthews would score to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead. Then in the third period Matthews would net his second of the game and Noah Gregor would score to give the Maple Leafs the 4-0 victory over the Predators.

New York Rangers v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
- In Washington the Capitals look to bounce back against their Metro Division rival New York Rangers, and in the first period Sonny Milano would score to give the Caps the 1-0 lead. Then in the second period Anthony Mantha, Tom Wilson, and Nicolas Aube-Kubel would score to give the Capitals the 4-0 victory over the Rangers. Charlie Lindgren would make 31 saves to shutout his brother Ryan and the Rangers.

Los Angeles Kings v. New York Islanders – 730p ET
- On Long Island the Los Angeles Kings would look to remain undefeated as they visit the New York Islanders, and after a scoreless first period Adrian Kempe and Vladislav Gavrikov would score to give the Kings the 2-0 lead. In the third period Anders Lee would net a pair of goals to tie the game for the Isles to force overtime. Then 13 seconds into overtime Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score to give the Islanders the 3-2 victory over the Kings and ending their undefeated streak on the road to start the season.

St. Louis Blues v. Chicago Blackhawks – 8p ET
- In Chicago the Blackhawks would take on the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period Anthony Beauvillier would net his first as a Blackhawk and Alex Vlasic would score to give the Blackhawks the 2-0 lead. In the second period Jason Dickinson would score to grow the Blackhawks lead to three. Then in the third period Oskar Sundqvist would score to get the Blues on the board, but it would not be enough as the Blackhawks would hold on to defeat the Blues 3-1.
