- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Colorado Avalanche forward Ross Colton.
- Colton was fined $5,000 for cross checking New Jersey Devils forward Timo Meier on Tuesday night.
- The fine is the maximum allowed under the CBA.

Game Recaps

Ottawa Senators v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
- In Toronto the Maple Leafs would play host to the Ottawa Senators for an Atlantic Division matchup, and in the first period William Nylander would open the scoring with a powerplay tally for the Leafs, but Dominik Kubalik would score for the Sens to tie the game at one. In the second period Claude Giroux would strike 64 seconds into the period to give the Sens the lead, but shortly after Tyler Bertuzzi would score to tie the game at two for the Leafs. However, later in the period Jakob Chychrun would score to give the Sens the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Nick Robertson would score for the Leafs, but goals from Kubalik, Tim Stuetzle, and Giroux would give the Senators the 6-3 victory over the Maple Leafs.

Florida Panthers v. Washington Capitals – 730p ET
- In Washington the Capitals would finish up a five game homestand with a matchup against the Florida Panthers, and in the first period Anthony Mantha would open the scoring for the Caps, but goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Aleksander Barkov would give the Panthers the 2-1 lead. In the second period Connor McMichael would strike shorthanded and Mantha would net his second of the game to give the Caps the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Evan Rodrigues would score to tie the game at three for the Panthers to force overtime. Then in the extra frame it would only need 15 seconds as Sam Reinhart would strike to give the Panthers the 4-3 overtime victory over the Capitals.
