Calgary Flames v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
- In Columbus the Blue Jackets would play host to the Calgary Flames, and after a scoreless first period Sean Kuraly would score his first of the season to give the Jackets the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Justin Danforth would score to grow the Jackets lead to two, but Elias Lindholm would score while shorthanded for the Flames to cut their deficit back to one. However, the returning Zach Werenski would get the empty netter to give the Blue Jackets the 3-1 victory over the Flames.

New Jersey Devils v. New York Islanders – 730p ET
- Then on Long Island the New York Islanders would take on the New Jersey Devils, and Brock Nelson would open up the scoring for the Isles, but with a minute left in the period Dougie Hamilton would strike on the powerplay to tie the game at one. In the second period both teams would trade tallies as Tyler Toffoli would net his first goal as a Devil while on the powerplay and Luke Hughes would strike on the powerplay as well for the Devils, but goals from Brock Nelson and Bo Horvat would tie the game at three for the Isles. Then in the third period The Devils would get their fourth powerplay goal of the game as Jack Hughes would score to give the Devils the 4-3 lead, but Horvat would net his second of the game to send the game to overtime tied at four for the Isles. In overtime Jack Hughes would net his second of the game to give the Devils the 5-4 victory over the Islanders.
