  • Dubas was recently dismissed as the General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs

• Patrick Kane, who will be a free agent on July 1, underwent hip resurfacing surgery.
  • Kane will be out of action for about four to six months.

Patrick Kane’s representative, Pat Brisson, says Kane had a hip resurfacing today under Dr. Edwin Hsu. As is normal, follow-ups are planned, but roughly 4-6 months recovery is expected. Brisson says Kane “wants to play for a long time,” and doctors are optimistic that will happen

• The Metropolitan Riveters announced that they have signed F Hayley Lunny and G Rachel McQuigge for the 2023-24 season.
  • The terms of the contracts will not be made public.

• The Connecticut Whale announced that they have signed D Tori Howran to a two-year contract
  • Terms of the contract will not be disclosed.

Howran and the Whale have reached new contract terms in light of the PHF salary cap increase. The new deal will have her swimming with the Pod through 2024-25.
