Today the Professional Women’s Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of January 8th through 14th.
First Star – Marie-Philp Poulin (C – MON)
- In two games played for Montreal, Marie-Philip Poulin would record three goals, and register ten shots and a plus three rating. Poulin would open up her week with a hat trick in a 5-2 victory over New York on Jan. 10th. Then on Jan. 13th Poulin would win 74% of her faceoffs, and would register five shots on goal in a 3-2 overtime loss to Boston.


Second Star – Ella Shelton (D – NY)
- Ella Shelton would record a goal and four assists for five points in two games played for New York. On Jan. 10th Shelton would record a goal and an assist in a 5-2 loss to Montreal. Then on Jan. 14th Shelton would factor on all of New York’s goals as she would record three assists in a 3-2 overtime victory over Minnesota.


Third Star – Taylor Heise (C – MIN)
- In Two games played for Minnesota, Taylor Heise would record two goals and an assist for three points. On Jan. 10th Heise would record two goals and an assist to help Minnesota win the first home game in PWHL history 3-1 over Toronto. Then on Jan. 14th Heise would be held off the scoresheet as Minnesota would lose to New York 3-2 in overtime.
