    • Vegas Golden Knights v. Florida Panthers – 8p ET – Game 4
      • For Game 4 the Florida Panthers would look to even up the series at two against the Vegas Golden Knights before the Stanley Cup Final returns to Vegas on Tuesday, and in the first period Chandler Stephenson would score to give the Knights the 1-0 lead. In the second period Stephenson would net his second of the game and William Karlsson would strike to grow the Knights lead to three, but a few pinball bounces would get Brandon Montour on the board for the Panthers to get back within two. Then in the third period Aleksander Barkov would score to get the Panthers back within one, but it would not be enough as the Golden Knights would hold on to take Game 4 3-2 over the Panthers and take the 3-1 series lead.

NHL Daily – Vegas Takes Game One

NHL News and Notes from Saturday, June 3rd, 2023

    News

    • The NHL announced that the New Jersey Devils will face off against the Philadelphia Flyers on February 17, 2024 at MetLife Stadium in the NHL Stadium Series.
      • Additionally, the New York Islanders will be the host to New York Rangers on February 18, 2024.
      • This will be the first set of contests to take place at MetLife Stadium, home of the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets

    • The logos for the 2023-24 events (2023 Heritage Classic, 2024 NHL Winter Classic, and 2024 NHL All-Star Game) were unveiled.  The official logo for the 2024 NHL Stadium Series will be unveiled at a later date.

    • In a few notes from NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman’s press conference today, the following items were announced
      • The sale of the Ottawa Senators should be completed in the next few weeks

      • Talks between the NHL and the NHLPA have once again resumed on the World Cup of Hockey and that is a priority on both sides of the table.

      • Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman have both requested independent meetings and those will be conducted once the Stanley Cup Final has ended.  Neither Quenneville or Bowman are eligible to work for an NHL team.

      • The NHLPA’s escrow debt will not be paid off by the end of the season, and thus the salary cap may only increase to $1M for the 2023-24 season.  A larger bump of the salary cap should then occur for the 2024-25 season.

      • Expansion was discussed and is not a priority but did confirm interest from different parties, widely rumoured to be Atlanta and Houston

      • Furthermore on the expansion/relocation news, the NHL has heard from Salt Lake City from NBA Governor of the Utah Jazz, Ryan Smith.

      • NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly said that there is no ongoing investigation into the incident with Colorado Avalanche F Valeri Nichushkin in Seattle earlier in the postseason.  Daly added that Nichushkin will be eligible to play during the 2023-24 season

      • Bill Daly also discussed that the investigation into sexual assault allegations surrounding the 2018 Canadian World Juniors team has concluded.  The report should be delivered to the NHL later in the summer

  • TXHT Jersey Share – Reverse Retroing with Ethan Bear

TXHT Jersey Share – Reverse Retroing with Ethan Bear

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey with a very special customization courtesy of CoolHockey.com.

With what could be the end of my Reverse Retro 2.0 run here in the TXHT Jersey Share Series, we end it in high standing with the Vancouver Canucks Reverse Retro jersey from this past season, and as mentioned above I requested for a very special customization for my jersey, and Cool Hockey was able to deliver as I was able to get the jersey customized to Ethan Bear with his name in Cree Syllabics. As many would remember, in the summer of 2021 I got the Edmonton Oilers jersey through Cool Hockey with Bear’s name in Cree as well, and while I did promise to get a Carolina Hurricanes jersey with his name in Cree, I never did because the Canes barely played him. When they traded him to the Canucks, I knew I had to take advantage of the opportunity with the release of the Reverse Retro 2.0 line.

For the Canucks Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey they went with the Vancouver legend Johnny Canuck in their colors, but with both the green and blue being a little darker compared to their normal colors. The Canucks chose to go with Johnny Canuck as a way of tribute to their past before entering the NHL.

“The Canucks’ 2022 Reverse Retro jersey is paying tribute to our namesake and bringing back the legendary 1962 Johnny Canuck. Before entering the NHL in 1970, the Vancouver Canucks debuted in the former Western Hockey League in 1945 with Johnny C as their logo, proudly displaying the beloved figure on their jerseys.

The Johnny Canuck jerseys are complete with remixed royal blue, green, and beige colours and player numbers are on the left chest and right shoulder to match the 1960’s style. “

Vancouver Canucks Press Release (Oct. 22nd, 2022)

Overall this is an amazing jersey, and a special one at that. I’m really happy with this jersey and the job that Cool Hockey did with it.
