    • The Los Angeles Kings debuted new branding for the team going into the 2024-25 season.
      • The Kings are returning to their Gretzky Era look, but with a more modernized design.
      • New jerseys for the rebrand will be unveiled next week.

    • The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that they have re-signed goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic.
      • Nedeljkovic would sign a two year deal with an AAV of $2.5 million per season.

    • The Washington Capitals would announce their 2024-25 preseason schedule.
      • With the Caps entering their 50th Anniversary, the graphic hints at what they could be doing to celebrate the special milestone season.

    • In the PWHL there would be a series of signings. Starting in Toronto, they would re-sign defender Allie Munroe to a two year deal.

    • Boston would re-sign four players to new deals.
      • Forward Hannah Brandt would sign a two year deal.
      • Defender Emily Brown would sign a tow year deal.
      • Defender Sidney Morin would sign a one year deal.

    • The Carolina Hurricanes announced that they have named Eric Tulsky as their new General Manager.

    • The New York Rangers placed forward Barclay Goodrow on waivers.

    • The Vancouver Canucks announced that they have signed defenseman Filip Hronek to a new contract.
      • Hronek agreed to an eight year deal that carries an AAV of $7.25 million per season.

    Edmonton Oilers v. Florida Panthers – Game 5 – 8p ET

    • Back in Florida for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Panthers look to try again to finish off the Edmonton Oilers, but this time at home, and in the first period Connor Brown would strike shorthanded to give the Oilers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Zach Hyman and Corey Perry would both score powerplay goals while Connor McDavid would score for the Oilers, but goals from Matthew Tkachuk and Evan Rodrigues would get the Panthers on the board as the Oilers would take a 4-2 lead into the second intermission. Then in the third period Oliver Ekman-Larsson would strike early for the Panthers to pull within one, but with 19 seconds left, McDavid would net his second of the game with an empty netter, which also featured an amazing defensive effort by Tkachuk moments earlier, as the Oilers would force Game 6 on Friday night back home in Edmonton with the 5-3 victory.

    Florida Panthers v. Edmonton Oilers – Game 4 – 8p ET

    • In Edmonton for a very critical Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, the Oilers would look to breathe life into playoff hopes as the Florida Panthers aim to close out the series, and in the first period Mattias Janmark would strike shorthanded, and then Adam Henrique would score to give the Oilers the 2-0 lead, but Vladimir Tarasenko would deflect one past Stuart Skinner to get the Panthers back within one. However, Dylan Holloway would score to regain the two goal lead for the Oilers before the first period would end. In the second period goals from Connor McDavid and Darnell Nurse would chase Sergei Bobrovsky from the Panthers net, and then Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would score as the Oilers would take the commanding 6-1 lead into the second intermission. Then in the third period Holloway would net his second of the game, and Ryan McLeod would score to give the Oilers the dominating 8-1 victory over the Panthers to force Game 5 on Tuesday back in Florida.

    • The St. Louis Blues announced that they have re-signed President of Hockey Operations Doug Armstrong to an extension.
      • The extension will keep Armstrong with the Blues through 2028-29.
      • Alexander Steen was also named Special Assistant, and will become the new General Manager in 2026.

    • The San Jose Sharks announced that they have hired Ryan Warsofsky as Head Coach.

    • The New York Rangers announced that they have re-signed forward Kaapo Kakko.
      • Kakko would sign a one year deal worth $2.4 million for the season.

    Florida Panthers v. Edmonton Oilers – Game 3 – 8p ET

    • In Edmonton, the Oilers looked to get within a game of the series. In the first, Florida took the 1-0 lead when Sam Reinhart scored his ninth. In the second, Edmonton tied the game when Warren Foegele scored his second of the postseason to even the score but then Vladimir Tarasenko scored his fourth to give Florida the 2-1 lead. Sam Bennett then scored his seventh to put the Cats up 3-1 and then Aleksander Barkov got his seventh as the Panthers took the 4-1 lead. In the third, Philip Broberg scored his second to bring the Oilers within two and then Ryan McLeod scored his second but the Panthers held on to get the 4-3 and get within one win of the Stanley Cup.

    • In the PWHL on Sunday, Ottawa announced that they have re-signed defender Aneta Tejralova to a two year deal.

    • Then on Monday, Ottawa announced that they also re-signed defender Zoe Boyd to a one year deal.

    • Montreal would announce that they have signed Swedish forward Lin Ljungblom to a three year deal.
      • Ljungblom spent the past season MoDo Hockey in the SDHL after being selected 90th overall by Montreal in last year’s PWHL Draft.

    • The NHL announced that Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill as the recipient of the 2023-24 Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award.

    • In South Florida, the Panthers look to jump out to the 2-0 series lead. In the first, Edmonton took the 1-0 lead when Mattias Ekholm scored his fifth of the postseason, In the second, Florida got on the board when Niko Mikkola scored his second of the postseason. In the third, Evan Rodrigues scored a pair to put the Cats up 3-1 and then Aaron Ekblad scored his first of the postseason on an empty Edmonton net to get the 4-1 win and take the 2-0 series lead over the Oilers.
