- The New Jersey Devils made a couple of moves as they recalled goaltender Louis Domingue from Binghamton of the AHL, and have placed goaltender Cory Schneider on waivers with the purpose of assignment to Binghamton.

- Montreal Canadiens have confirmed that forwards Paul Byron (knee) and Jonathan Drouin (wrist) will require surgery, and will miss time.

In Arizona the Coyotes play host to the Los Angeles Kings, and in the first period the Coyotes would strike twice as Conor Garland would net his tenth of the season and Derek Stepan would strike on the powerplay to take the 2-0 lead into the first intermission. Then in the second period Jakob Chychrun would score on the powerplay to grow the Coyotes lead to three. The Coyotes would hold on in a scoreless third period to take the 3-0 victory over the Kings.
