For the first time in NWHL history, the league has named their first ever Player of the Month. For the month of October Boston Pride forward McKenna Brand as the inaugural Player of the Month.

Brand led the NWHL in goals (7), shots (53), and game winning goals (3) during the month of October. Brand is also tied for the league lead in points (14) with Pride teammate Jillian Dempsey. Along with her linemates of Dempsey and Christina Putigna they would combine for a total of 13 even strength goals.
Congratulations McKenna on making history on becoming the first ever NWHL Player of the Month.
