- Back at Madison Square Garden for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Final, the Florida Panthers would look to keep the pressure on the New York Rangers, and in the first period Vincent Trocheck would score to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead, but late in the period Carter Verhaeghe would strike on the powerplay to tie the game at one for the Panthers. Then after a scoreless second and third period it would be Barclay Goodrow with the winner in overtime as the Rangers would even the series at one with the 2-1 overtime victory over the Panthers.
