- The Carolina Hurricanes announced that they have re-signed head coach Rod Brind’Amour.
- Brind’Amour would sign a multi-year extension to remain with Carolina.
- Assistant Coaches Jeff Daniels and Tim Gleason, Video Coach Chris Huffine and Goaltending Coach Paul Schonfelder also agreed to multi-year extensions.

Edmonton Oilers v. Vancouver Canucks – Game 7 – 9p ET
- In Game 7 in Vancouver, both teams looked to advance to the Western Conference Final. After a scoreless first, Cody Ceci scored his second to put Edmonton in the lead and then Zach Hyman scored his 11th to put the Oilers up 2-0. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins then connected on the power play to put Edmonton up 3-0. In the third, Conor Garland got Vancouver on the board and then Filip Hronek got his first of the postseason. However, the Oilers held on as they defeated the Canucks 3-2 and advanced to the Western Conference Final to take on the Dallas Stars.
