  • In Dallas for Game 5, the Stars would take on the Colorado Avalanche with the opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Final, and in the first period Joe Pavelski would strike first for the Stars, but Artturi Lehkonen would score to tie the game at one for the Avs. In the second period Miro Heiskanen would strike to regain the lead for the Stars, but Cale Makar would score to tie the game at two for the Avs. Then in the third period Logan Stankoven would score for the Stars, but Casey Mittelstadt, Makar, and Nathan MacKinnon would score to give the Avalanche the 5-3 victory over the Stars and force a Game 6.
