- The Washington Capitals announced that they have re-assigned forward Alexander Suzdalev to Hershey of the AHL.
- Suzdalev recorded nine goals and 16 assists for 25 points in 30 regular season games played for the Saskatoon Blades of the Western Hockey League (WHL) after joining them on Jan. 4th.
- In the WHL playoffs Suzdalev would record four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 16 playoff games.

Game Recaps
New York Rangers v. Carolina Hurricanes – Game 4 – 7p ET
- With their season on the line, the Carolina Hurricanes would play host to the New York Rangers for Game 4, and in the first period Evgeny Kuznetsov and Stefan Noesen would open up the scoring for the Canes to take the 2-0 lead, but Will Cuylle would strike to get the Rangers back within one. However, before the end of the first Sebastian Aho would strike to reclaim the two goal lead for the Canes. In the second period Barclay Goodrow would score to get the Rangers back within one. Then in the third period Alexis Lafreniere would score to tie the game game at three for the Rangers, but a late powerplay goal from Brady Skjei would give the Hurricanes the 4-3 victory over the Rangers to force a Game 5.
