Game Recaps

New York Islanders v. New York Rangers – 1p ET
- At Madison Square Garden the New York Ranger would play host to the Islanders for a Battle of New York, and in the first period Bo Horvat would strike shorthanded to give the Isles the 1-0 lead. In the second period Mika Zibanejad and Will Cuylle would score to give the Rangers the 2-1 lead, but Horvat would net his second of the game to tie the game at two for the Isles. However, Jonny Brodzinski would score to reclaim the lead for the Rangers. Then in the third period Kaapo Kakko and Alexis Lafreniere would score to give the Rangers the 5-2 victory over the Islanders.

New Jersey Devils v. Vegas Golden Knights – 3:30p ET
- In Vegas, the Golden Knights hosted the Devils and after a scoreless first and second period, Nico Hischier scored his 22nd of the year to put New Jersey up 1-0 but then William Carrier’s sixth tied the game for Vegas. Then, Jack Eichel’s 22nd of the year put Vegas up 2-1 and then William Karlsson scored an empty net goal to give the Golden Knights the 3-1 win over the Devils.

Winnipeg Jets v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 6p ET
- In Columbus, the Blue Jackets welcomed the Jets and in the first, Winnipeg got on the board when Kyle Connor scored his 29th of the year. In the second, Nikolaj Ehlers scored his 20th to give the Jets the 2-0 lead and then Tyler Toffoli scored his 29th to give Winnipeg the 3-0 lead. Logan Stanley then scored his first of the year as the Jets took the 4-0 lead and then Vladislav Namestnikov scored his ninth as Winnipeg’s lead grew to five. In the third, Columbus got on the board when Brendan Gaunce scored his second of the year but then Tyler Toffoli scored his second of the night as the Jets trounced the Blue Jackets 6-1.

San Jose Sharks v. Chicago Blackhawks – 6p ET
- In Chicago, the Blackhawks welcomed the Sharks back to the Windy City and in the first San Jose took the 1-0 lead when Ryan Carpenter scored his fifth of the year and then Klim Kostin scored his fifth to give the Sharks the 2-0 lead. In the second, Chicago got on the board when Philipp Kurashev scored his 14th of the year. In the third, Chicago tied the game when Ryan Donato scored his 10th of the year and then Kevin Korchinski’s fourth of the year put the Blackhawks up 3-2. Joey Anderson’s third of the year then gave Chicgo the two goal lead then Connor Bedard ended the game with an empty net goal to give the Blackhawks the 5-2 win over the Sharks.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Ottawa Senators – 6p ET
- In Ottawa, the Senators hosted the Hurricanes and in the first Carolina took the 1-0 lead when Dmitry Orlov scored his fourth of the year but then Ottawa tied the game when Thomas Chabot scored his seventh of the year. In the second, Evgeny Kuznetsov scored a power play goal to give Carolina the lead once more but then Tim Stützle scored his 17th as the Sens tied the game once again. Seth Jarvis then scored his 23rd on the year as the Canes took the 3-2 lead. In the third, Jalen Chatfield scored his seventh as Carolina took the 4-2 lead and then Dmitry Orlov netted his second of the contest as the Canes took the three goal lead. Jake Guentzel then scored his 23rd of the year to put Carolina up 6-2 followed by Brendan Lemieux netting his third as the Hurricanes stormed by the Senators for the 7-2 win.

Detroit Red Wings v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 6p ET
- In Pittsburgh, the Red Wings visited the Penguins and in the first Reilly Smith scored his 12th of the year but then Lucas Raymond netted his 21st as Detroit tied the game. Sidney Crosby then scored his 33rd to put Pittsburgh back up a goal and then Valterri Puustinen scored his fourth to give the Pens the two goal lead. In the second, Michael Bunting’s 15th of the year put Pittsburgh up 4-1 but the Christian Fischer scored his fourth of the year to bring Detroit within two but then Lars Eller scored a power play goal to put Pittsburgh up 5-2. In the third, Lucas Raymond scored his second goal of the night on the Red Wings power play to come within two once more but Drew O’Connor scored an empty net goal as the Penguins doubled up the Red Wings 6-3.

Anaheim Ducks v. St. Louis Blues – 7p ET
- In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Ducks and in the first Anaheim took the 1-0 lead when Troy Terry scored his 18th of the year. In the second, Kevin Hayes scored his 13th as St. Louis tied the game. In the third, Robert Thomas scored a power play goal to give St. Louis the 2-1 lead and then Jake Neighbours netted a power play goal of his own as the Blues took the two goal lead. Robert Thomas then netted his second goal, also on the power play, of the evening as St. Louis went up three but Troy Terry got his second of the night. However, St. Louis held on as the Blues doubled up the Ducks 4-2.
