- The NHL Department of Player Safety would announce a trio of fines.
- Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe and Boston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle would both be fined $5,000 for cross checking.
- Both fines stem from Thursday night’s game between the Leafs and Bruins.
- Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane would be fined $2,500 for Unsportsmanlike Conduct on Thursday night against Columbus.
- The fines were the maximum allowed per the CBA.
- Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe and Boston Bruins forward Charlie Coyle would both be fined $5,000 for cross checking.

- NHL DoPS would also suspend Ottawa Senators forward Parker Kelly.
- Kelly would be suspended two games for an illegal check to the head of Los Angeles Kings defenseman Andreaas Englund on Thursday night.
- Kelly will forfeit $7,942.70 in salary based on his average annual salary per the terms of the CBA.
