- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Florida Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg.
- Lomberg would be fined $2,083.33 for elbowing Ottawa Senators defenseman Jakob Chychrun on Tuesday night.
- The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

Game Recaps

Buffalo Sabres v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
- In Montreal the Canadiens would face off with the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Arber Xhekaj would score to give the Habs the 1-0 lead. Then in the second period Jayden Struble would strike for the Habs, but goals from Zemgus Girgensons, Jeff Skinner, and Alex Tuch would give the Sabres the eventual 3-2 victory over the Canadiens.

Philadelphia Flyers v. Chicago Blackhawks – 7:30p ET
- In Chicago the Philadelphia Flyers would come to town to take on the Blackhawks, and in the first period Travis Sanheim would open the scoring for the Flyers, but Colin Blackwell would score to tie the game at one for the Blackhawks. In the second period Travis Konecny and Garnet Hathaway would score to give the Flyers the 3-1 lead. Then it would be a scoreless third period for the Flyers to defeat the Blackhawks 3-1.
