- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark.
- Ullmark would be fined $5,000 for high sticking Tampa Bay Lightning forward Michael Eyssimont on Tuesday night.
- The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

- The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that forward Johnny Gaudreau has joined teammate Patrik Laine in support of men’s mental health services and programs.
- Laine is currently in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program to tend to his mental health.

- The expectation is that the NHLPA will file an appeal on behalf of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Reilly.
- Reilly was suspended on Tuesday for five games for cross checking Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig on Saturday night.
- The appeal will be heard by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
The CBA says Gary Bettman will "endeavor" to hear suspension appeals on an "expedited basis." He determines if @NHLPlayerSafety decision is supported by "clear and convincing evidence."

If he keeps Morgan Rielly's suspension at five games or less, Bettman's ruling is final.

Game Recaps

Florida Panthers v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 730p ET
- In Pittsburgh the Penguins would play host to the Florida Panthers, and after a scoreless first period Matthew Tkachuk, Jonah Gadjovich, Aaron Ekblad, and Anton Lundell would score to give the Panthers the 4-0 lead, but Jake Guentzel would score to get the Pens on the board. Then in the third period John Ludvig would score for the Pens, but Lundell’s second of the game would give the Panthers the 5-2 victory over the Penguins.

San Jose Sharks v. Winnipeg Jets – 730p ET
- In Winnipeg the San Jose Sharks would come to town to take on the Jets, and in the first period Morgan Barron would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second and third periods the Jets would hold on to defeat the Sharks 1-0. Connor Hellebuyck would stop 17 shots to earn the shut out, and Kaapo Kahkonen would stop 38 of the 39 shots faced in the loss.
