- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have suspended Vancouver Canucks defenseman Nikita Zadorov.
- Zadorov would be suspended for two games for an illegal check to the head of Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond on Saturday (Feb. 10th) afternoon.
- Per the terms of the CBA, and based on his average annual salary, Zadorov will forfeit $39,062.50.

Game Recaps

St. Louis Blues v. Buffalo Sabres – 1p ET
- In Buffalo for one of four early afternoon matinee game, the Sabres would play host to the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period Jake Neighbours would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead. In the second period Kyle Okposo would score to tie the game at one for the Sabres, but Jordan Kyrou would score to retake the lead for the Blues. Then in the third period Neighbours would net his second of the game to give the Blues the 3-1 victory over the Sabres.

Vancouver Canucks v. Detroit Red Wings – 1p ET
- In Detroit the Vancouver Canucks would come to town to take on the Red Wings, and in the first period Lucas Raymond would score to give the Wings the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nils Hoglander, Filip Hronek , and Elias Pettersson would score to give the Canucks the 3-1 lead. Both Hronek and Pettersson would record two assists in the period as well. Then in the third period Daniel Sprong and Michael Rasmussen would score to tie the game at three for the Wings to force overtime. In the extra frame Jake Walman would score on a penalty shot 23 seconds in to give the Red Wings the 4-3 overtime comeback victory over the Canucks.

Dallas Stars v. Montreal Canadiens – 1p ET
- In Montreal the Canadiens would faceoff with the Dallas Stars, and after a scoreless first period Nick Suzuki would open up the scoring for the Habs, but Thomas Harley would score and Tyler Seguin would net a pair of goals to give the Stars the 3-1 lead. However, before the end of the second period Juraj Slafkovsky would score to get the Habs back within one. Then we would have a scoreless third period as the Stars would hold on to defeat the Canadiens 3-2.

Calgary Flames v. New York Islanders – 1p ET
- On Long Island the New York Islanders would play host to the Calgary Flames, and in the first period MacKenzie Weegar would score to give the Flames the 1-0 lead. In the second period Jonathan Huberdeau would score and Weegar would net his second of the game to grow the Flames lead to three. Then in the third period Brock Nelson and Jean-Gabriel Pageau would score for the Isles, but Blake Coleman would score and Weegar would get the empty netter to complete the hat trick as the Flames would go on to defeat the Islanders 5-2.

Washington Capitals v. Boston Bruins – 330p ET
- In Boston for an afternoon matinee the Washington Capitals would come to town to take on the Bruins, and after a scoreless first period TJ Oshie would strike on the powerplay to give the Caps the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Dylan Strome would net his 20th of the season and Alex Ovechkin would get the empty netter for his 834th career goal to give the Capitals the 3-0 victory over the Bruins. Charlie Lindgren would stop all 18 shots faced for the shutout.

Colorado Avalanche v. Florida Panthers – 6p ET
- In Florida the Panthers would take on the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Reinhart would both strike on the powerplay to give the Panthers the 2-0 lead. In the second period Eetu Luostarinen would score to grow the Panthers lead to three. Then in the third period Aleksander Barkov would score to give the Panthers the 4-0 victory over the Avalanche. Sergei Bobrovsky would stop all 35 shots faced for the shutout.

New Jersey Devils v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
- In Carolina the Hurricanes go back in time for their annual Whalers Night as they host the New Jersey Devils, and after a scoreless 60 minutes of hockey this game would require extra time. 3:40 into the extra frame Sebastian Aho would score to give the Whalers/Hurricanes the 1-0 overtime victory over the Devils. Vitek Vanecek would stop 32 of 33 shots for the Devils while Pyotr Kochetkov would stop all 34 shots faced for the shutout.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
- In Columbus the Tampa Bay Lightning would come to town to battle the Blue Jackets, and in the first period Nick Paul would score to give the Bolts the 1-0 lead. In the second period Anthony Cirelli would strike to grow the Bolts lead to two. Then in the third period Steven Stamkos would score on the powerplay to give the Lightning the 3-0 lead, but Boone Jenner would score a pair of goals to get the Jackets back within one. However, Brandon Hagel would get the empty netter to give the Lightning the 4-2 victory over the Blue Jackets.

Toronto Maple Leafs v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
- In Ottawa the Senators would faceoff with the Toronto Maple Leafs for Hockey Night in Canada, and in the first period both teams would score as Auston Matthews would open the scoring for the Leafs, but Claude Giroux would score for the Sens for the 1-1 tie. In the second period Matthew Knies would score for the Leafs, but goals from Vladimir Tarasenko, Shane Pinto, and Josh Norris would give the Sens the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Max Domi would score for the Leafs to get back within one, but Ridley Greig would get the empty netter to give the Senators the 5-3 victory over the Maple Leafs.

Seattle Kraken v. Philadelphia Flyers – 7p ET
- In Philadelphia the Flyers would take on the Seattle Kraken, and in the first period Matty Beniers would score for the Kraken, but goals from Scott Laughton and Ryan Poehling would give the Flyers the 2-1 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Jared McCann would score to tie the game at two for the Kraken, but Sean Couturier would score to give the Flyers the 3-2 victory over the Kraken.

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Winnipeg Jets – 7p ET
- In Winnipeg the Pittsburgh Penguins would come to town to faceoff with the Jets, and in the first period Mark Scheifele and Nino Niederreiter would score to give the Jets the 2-0 lead. In the second period Bryan Rust would score for the Pens to get back within one. Then in the third period the Jets would be able to hold the Penguins at bay as they would take this game 2-1.
