Today the Washington Capitals trimmed their training camp roster to 28 before their final preseason game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

With today’s roster cuts the Capitals sent a total of three forwards, two defensemen, and a goaltender down to the Hershey Bears of the AHL. The Capitals are now carrying 16 forwards, nine defensemen, and three goaltenders, and will need to have their roster submitted by 5p ET on Tuesday, October 1st.
