- The Connecticut Whale have signed Madelyn Evangelous for the 2019-20 season.

- The Minnesota Wild have placed forward Kevin Fiala on injured reserve due to a lower body injury.
NEWS: #mnwild announced today that the club has recalled goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen under emergency conditions from the @IAWild.
The team also announced it has placed forward Kevin Fiala on Injured Reserve with a lower-body injury.

- The Ottawa Senators have announced that both defenseman Colin White (3-5 weeks – hip flexor/groin injury) and forward Artem Anisimov (1-2 weeks – lower body) have been placed on injured reserve.
GM Pierre Dorion provided an update on #Sens injuries today:
Colin White will be out 3-5 weeks with a hip flexor/groin injury and Artem Anisimov is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with a lower body injury.
Both players have been placed on the IR.

Detroit Red Wings v. Ottawa Senators – 730p EST Start Time
In Ottawa the Senators look to clip the Detroit Red Wings, and in the first period the Senators would strike with a Chris Tierney tally to take the 1-0 lead into the first intermission. Then in the second the Red Wings would strike with two quick goals to gain the lead with as Darren Helm and Tyler Bertuzzi would both score, however, the Senators would respond with three straight as Mark Borowiecki, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, and Anthony Duclair all would score to take a 4-2 lead into the second intermission. Then in the third period Anthony Duclair would score his second of the game to secure the Senators the 5-2 victory.

Pittsburgh Penguins v. Tampa Bay Lightning – 8p EST Start Time
In Tampa Bay the Lightning play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins and after a very touching tribute by the Lightning honoring 46 of the 70 living recipients of the Congressional Medal of Honor they would get the first goal of the game from Alex Killorn. Then in the second period the Penguins would strike when Brendon Tanev scored his second of the season to tie the game. Then in the final minute of the period Jake Guentzel would score his sixth of the season to take the late lead into the intermission. Then in the third period Cedric Paquette would strike for the Lightning to tie the game at two, and then in the final minute of the period while on the powerplay Victor Hedman would strike to give the Lightning the 3-2 victory.
