Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of October 23rd through 29th.
First Star – Tyler Toffoli (RW – NJ)
- Tyler Toffoli would lead the League in scoring with six goals and an assist for seven points in four games played for the New Jersey Devils. Toffoli would open up the week with a hat trick against Montreal in a 5-2 victory on Oct. 24th, and then on Oct. 25th in a 6-4 loss to Washington he would record two goals and an assist. On Oct. 27th Toffoli would be held off the scoresheet in a 5-4 victory over Buffalo, but on Oct. 29 he would score a goal in a 4-3 victory over Minnesota to close out the week.


Second Star – Jonas Johansson (G – TB)
- In two games played for the Tampa Bay Lightning Jonas Johansson would go a perfect 2-0-0 that would see him post back to back shutouts. Johansson would start his week with a 3-0 victory over Carolina that would see him make 32 saves on Oct. 24th. Then to end his week Johansson would make 23 saves in a 6-0 victory over San Jose on Oct. 26th.


Third Star – Ryan Hartman (RW – MIN)
- Ryan Hartman would record five goals and two assists for seven points in four games played for the Minnesota Wild. Hartman would open up his week with a hat trick and two assists for five points in a 7-4 victory over Edmonton on Oct. 24th. On Oct. 26th in a 6-2 loss to Philadelphia he would be held scoreless, but on Oct. 27th in a 3-2 shootout loss to Washington he would score one goal. Then to close out his week Hartman would score a goal in a 4-3 loss to New Jersey on Oct. 29th.
