• The Seattle Kraken announced that forward Andre Burakovsky would miss 6 to 8 weeks due to an upper body injury.
  • Burakovsky underwent a successful procedure to address the injury.

• In Buffalo, the Sabres would welcome the Canadiens to town, and in the first Montreal would take the 1-0 lead when Justin Barron scored his first of the season, but then Buffalo tied it up when Jeff Skinner scored his third of the year. After a scoreless second period, Montreal would get a pair of goals when Brendan Gallagher and Tanner Pearson scored as the Canadiens would down the Sabres for the 3-1 win.
