  • The Tampa Bay Lightning announced that Steven Stamkos is out day-to-day with a lower body injury.

  • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
    • In Ottawa, the Senators welcome the Lightning to the Canadian capital and in the first period, Ottawa takes the 1-0 lead when Vladimir Tarasenko nets his first goal of the season, as well as his first goal as a Senator. In the second, Tampa Bay will tie the game up when Anthony Cirelli strikes with his first goal of the season but then Ottawa re-takes the lead with Brady Tkachuk’s third goal of the season. Then, the Lightning respond when Tanner Jeannot gets his first of the year to make this a 2-2 game but then Mathieu Joseph’s second of the year gives the Sens the lead for good. In the third, Brady Tkachuk’s second of the night puts Ottawa up 4-2 and then Tim Stützle’s second goal, with a Tampa Bay empty net, gives the Senators the 5-2 win over the Lightning.

  • Carolina Hurricanes v. Anaheim Ducks – 830p ET
    • In Anaheim, the Ducks welcome the Hurricanes for the lone time on the season and in the first Anaheim gets a trio of goals when Sam Carrick, Frank Vatrano, and Pavel Mintyukov all get their first goals of the season. In the second period, Carolina gets on the board when Teuvo Teravainen gets his third goal of the season but then Frank Vatrano strikes with his second of the night to give the Ducks the three goal lead once more. As this contest shifts to the third period, Carolina gets a pair of power play goals when Teuvo Teravainen gets his second of the night and then Martin Necas gets his first goal of the year, as the Canes come within a goal. Then Cam Fowler gets his first of the year on an empty netter to give Anaheim the 5-3 lead and then Frank Vatrano completes the hat trick as the Ducks go on to double up the Hurricanes for the 6-3 win.
