- The NHL Alumni announced the passing of Chicago Blackhawks legend and Hockey Hall of Famer Bobby Hull.
- Hull spent 15 seasons with the Blackhawks, as well as a season in both Winnipeg and Hartford.
- Hull would earn three Art Ross Trophies, two Hart Memorial Trophies, a Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, and a Lester Patrick Trophy.
- Hull would also win the Stanley Cup with the 1961 Blackhawks.
- Hull is also the father of fellow Hockey Hall of Famer Brett Hull.

- The NHL announced that Ottawa Senators forward Claude Giroux has been named First star of the Week.
- William Nylander (TOR) and Andrei Vasilevskiy (TB) would round out the rest of the Three Stars.

- The New York Islanders and Vancouver Canucks would make a trade.
- The Islanders acquired forward Bo Horvat.
- The Canucks acquired forwards Anthony Beauvillier and Aatu Raty, and a conditional 2023 1st Round Pick.
- The 2023 1st Round Pick is Top 12 Protected.

- In Winnipeg, the Jets welcome the Blues. After a scoreless first, St. Louis gets on the board when Jake Neighbours scores his fourth on the year on a Blues power play. In the third, Nikita Alexandrov scores his third of the year as the Blues take the 2-0 lead but then Josh Morrissey scores his ninth of the year to put the Jets on the board. Mark Scheifele then scores his 30th of the year as the Jets tie the game up and then Josh Morrissey nets his second of the night to give Winnipeg the 3-2 lead. Mark Scheifele then scores his second of the night as the Jets get the 4-2 win over the Blues.
