Analysis:

Leafs played a terrible 2nd period. Terrible defensive zone coverage and couldn’t get any pucks through. Leafs need to put it into gear or else this game is done.

Everything to the net.

Analysis:

Leafs come out flying and score 3 goals in the 3rd courtesy of Tavares, Hyman and Johnsson to bring it to overtime! All out aggressive play in the 3rd and it worked.

Overtime:

Detroit Goal – 02:48 – Dylan Larkin (11) assisted by Gustav Nyquist(19)

End of OT – DET – 4       TOR – 3

Shots              32                   31

Analysis:

John Tavares with a giveaway and Dylan Larkin makes no mistake beating Garrett Sparks five-hole. Leafs come back from down 3 in the 3rd but lose in Overtime. Still gain a much needed point.
