Montreal Canadiens Post Game Recap

The Habs drop a tough one to the Canes but to get one across and make it a close game. They outplayed the Canes for most of the game and deserved the win. The Powerplay for Montreal was subpar and was when the Habs lost some momentum late in the third. Carolina got two lucky bounces and Curtis McElhinney stood on his head for Carolina. The Habs are off until Saturday when they host the Boston Bruins.

First Period

Habs looked solid in the first period. Weber looks good in his first period back. Kulak also looks strong on the blueline for the Habs. Habs are definitely getting their chances. McElhinney can’t control a rebound Habs need to continue getting pucks on net and getting guys towards the net.

Second Period
Canes are getting the bounces even though the Habs are outplaying them. In the third, the Habs need to make sure they don’t take any stupid penalties and hopefully one of these bounces will go their way.

Third Period
Habs get one past McElhinney in the third but fail to score another to tie up the game. The powerplay was a disaster and could have tied the game up for the Habs.
