- The Edmonton Oilers announced that forward Zach Hyman will have surgery to repair a broken wrist, and will miss the rest of the playoffs.
- Hyman was injured in Game 4 of the Western Conference Final against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night.

Florida Panthers v. Carolina Hurricanes – 8p ET – Game 5
- Back in Carolina for Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final, the Hurricanes look to keep their season alive as they host the Florida Panthers, and in the first period, Sebastian Aho scored a pair of goals to give the Hurricanes the 2-0 lead. In the second period the Panthers would rally with three goals on three shots as Matthew Tkachuk (PPG), Evan Rodrigues, and Anton Lundell would all score to give the Panthers the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period, Seth Jarvis scored to tie the game at three for the Hurricanes, but Carter Verhaeghe’s tally reclaimed the lead for the Panthers, and then an empty netter by Sam Bennet gave the Panthers the 5-3 victory over the Hurricanes to take the series 4-1 and advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the third consecutive year.
