- Back in Carolina for Game 2, the Florida Panthers look to grow their series lead over the Hurricanes, and in the first period, Gustav Forsling (first shot of the game), Matthew Tkachuk, and Sam Bennett (PPG) would score on five combined shots to give the Panthers the 3-0 lead. In the second period, with 39 seconds left in the period, Bennett would net his second of the game to grow the Panthers lead to four. Then in the third period, Aleksander Barkov would score on the powerplay to give the Panthers the dominant 5-0 victory over the Hurricanes to take the 2-0 series lead.
