- The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have fined Dallas Stars forward Jamie Benn.
- Benn was fined $5,000 for roughing Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele in Game 5 on Thursday, May 15th.
- The fine is the maximum allowed per the CBA.

- In Florida for Game 6, the Panthers look to close out the series against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and after a scoreless 46 minutes of action, Auston Matthews would score to give the Leafs the 1-0 lead, and then later in the period, Max Pacioretty’s third of the playoffs would give the Maple Leafs the 2-0 victory over the Panthers to force a Game 7. Joseph Woll stopped all 22 shots faced to earn the shutout.
