At Scotiabank Arena Toronto would play host to Montreal for the Battle on Bay Street, and after a score first and second periods Jesse Compher, Hannah Miller, and Victoria Bach would score to give Toronto the 3-0 victory over Montreal. Kristen Campbell would make 29 saves to earn the shutout for Toronto.
And that's a Soupy shutout in front of a record-breaking crowd!

The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they have relieved Jarmo Kekalainen of his duties as General Manager.
John Davidson, along with the team’s hockey operations team, will be the interim general manager while the team searches for their next General Manager.
Jarmo Kekalainen has been relieved of his duties as general manager.
John Davidson, along with the team’s hockey operations management team, will assume general manager’s duties while the club goes through the process of hiring a replacement.

Seattle Kraken v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
In Boston, the ruins hosted the Kraken and in the first David Pastrnak scored his 34th of the year to put Boston up 1-0 but then a power play goal from Jordan Eberle tied the game for Seattle. In the second, Eeli Tolvanen’s 15th goal of the year gave the Kraken the 2-1 lead. In the third, Matty Beniers put Seattle up 3-1 with his eighth of the year and then Jaren McCann scored an empty net goal to give the Kraken the 4-1 win over the Bruins.
In Western New York, the Sabres hosted the Panthers and in the first Carter Verhaeghe scored his 27th to put Florida up 1-0. In the second, Anton Lundell’s seventh of the year put Florida up 2-0. In the third, Carter Verhaeghe scored an empty net goal to put the Cats up 3-0 and then Ryan Lomberg scored his fourth of the year on the power play to give the Panthers the 4-0 shutout victory over the Sabres.
In the Garden State, the Devils welcomed the Kings back to New Jersey and after a scoreless first, Anze Kopitar scored a shorthanded goal to give Los Angeles the 1-0 lead but then Tyler Toffoli’s power play goal tied the contest for New Jersey. Then in the third, Quinton Byfield scored his 17th of the year on the power play to give the Kings the 2-1 win over the Devils.
In New York City, the Rangers hosted the Canadiens and in the first Jake Evans gave Montreal the 1-0 lead with his fourth of the year. In the second, Chris Kreider scored his 25th to tie the game for New York and then Will Cuylle’s 10th of the year put the Blueshirts up 2-1. Then, a shorthanded goal from Mika Zibanejad put New York up two and then Chris Kreider scored his second of the night to give New York the 4-1 lead. Juraj Slafkovky then scored his 12th of the year to bring the Habs within two.
In Ottawa, the Senators welcomed the Ducks back to the Canadian capital and in the first Anaheim took the 1-0 lead when Pavel Minyukov scored his third of the year. In the second, Frank Vatrano scored a power play goal to give the Ducks the 2-0 lead and then Mason McTavish scored his 14th of the year to put Anaheim up three. In the third, Mason McTavish scored his second of the night to give Anaheim the 4-0 lead but then Ottawa would get on the board when Claude Giroux scored his 18th of the year. Then, Cam Fowler scored his fourth of the year on the power play as the Ducks cruised by the Senators for the 5-1 win.
In Tampa, the Lightning hosted the Avalanche and in the first Colorado took the 1-0 lead when Bowen Byram scored his seventh of the year but then Tampa tied the game with Brayden Point 26th of the year. Then. Nikita Kucherov scored his 35th of the year to put the Bolts in the lead. In the second, Bowen Byram tied the contest with his second of the night. In the third, Colorado re-took the lead when Artturi Lehkonen scored his sixth of the year on the power play. Then, Steven Stamkos scored his 23rd of the year to tie the game for Tampa and then Nikita Kucherov scored his 36th of the year to give the Bolts the 4-3 lead. Anthony Cirelli then scored an empty net goal to give Tampa the 5-3 lead and then Nick Perbix scored an empty net goal of his own as the Lightning got the 6-3 win over the Avalanche.
Philadelphia Flyers v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
In Toronto, the Maple Leafs hosted the Flyers and in the first Philadelphia took the 1-0 lead when Travis Sanheim scored a shorthanded goal, his fifth goal of the year. In the second, Auston Matthews scored three straight, good for the hat trick, to put Toronto in the lead 3-1. In the third, Garnet Hathaway scored his fifth of the year to bring the Flyers within a goal and then Travis Konecny scored a power play goal, his 26t goal of the year, to even the score 3-3. In overtime, William Nylander scored the game winner, his 27th goal of the year, to give the Maple Leafs the 4-3 win over the Flyers.
In St. Louis, the Blues hosted the Oilers and in the first St. Louis took the 1-0 lead when Robert Thomas scored his 19th of the year but then Edmonton tied the game wehn Leon Draisaitl scored a power play goal and then Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his 15th of the year to put the Oilers in the lead. In the second, Jake Neighbours scored his 19th of the year to tie the game and then Torey Krug scored his second of the year to put the Blues in the lead. Then, Jordan Kyrou scored his 18th of the year on the power play to put St. Louis up two and then a power play goal from Pavel Buchnevich put the Blues up 5-2. In the third, Corey Perry scored his fifth of the year to bring Edmonton within two but Brandon Saad scored an empty net goal to give the Blues the 6-3 win over the Oilers.
In Music City USA, the Predators hosted the Stars and in the first Dallas took the 1-0 lead when Sam Steel scored his seventh of the year and then Matt Duchene scored his 20th of the year to put the Stars up 2-0. Then, Craig Smith’s seventh of the year put Dallas up 3-0 and then Wyatt Johnston got his 16th of the year to put the Stars up 4-0. In the second, Miro Heiskanen scored his sixth of the year as Dallas took the commanding 5-0 lead but then Nashville got on the board when Cole Smith scored his sixth of the year. Tyler Seguin then scored a power play goal, his 20th goal of the year, to give Dallas the 6-1 lead and then Tommy Novak scored his 11th of the year to bring the Preds within four. Then, Matt Duchene scored his second of the night to make it a 7-2 Dallas lead. In the third, Ty Dellandrea scored his second of the year to make it an 8-2 Dallas lead and then Wyatt Johnston scored a power play goal, his second goal of the night, as the Stars crushed the Predators 9-2.

Toronto v. Boston – 7p ET
In a return to action for the PWHL, Boston would play host to Toronto, and in the first period Sarah Nurse would score to give Toronto the 1-0 lead. In the second period Natalie Spooner would net a pair of hat tricks to grow Toronto’s lead to three. Then in the third period Jamie Lee Rattray, Hannah Brandt, and Taylor Girard would score for Boston, but Kali Flanagan would score and Spooner would complete the hat trick, and net her tenth of the season, to give Toronto the 5-3 victory over Boston.

In the other game of the night Minnesota would take on Ottawa, and in the first period Amanda Boulier would net her first career PWHL goal for Ottawa to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Abby Boreen would score to tie the game at one for Minnesota. Then in the third period Maggie Flaherty would strike for her first career PWHL goal to give Minnesota the 2-1 home victory over Ottawa.
The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that forward Johnny Gaudreau has joined teammate Patrik Laine in support of men’s mental health services and programs.
Laine is currently in the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program to tend to his mental health.

The expectation is that the NHLPA will file an appeal on behalf of Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Morgan Reilly.
Reilly was suspended on Tuesday for five games for cross checking Ottawa Senators forward Ridly Greig on Saturday night.
The appeal will be heard by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
The CBA says Gary Bettman will "endeavor" to hear suspension appeals on an "expedited basis." He determines if @NHLPlayerSafety decision is supported by "clear and convincing evidence."
If he keeps Morgan Rielly's suspension at five games or less, Bettman's ruling is final.

Florida Panthers v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 730p ET
In Pittsburgh the Penguins would play host to the Florida Panthers, and after a scoreless first period Matthew Tkachuk, Jonah Gadjovich, Aaron Ekblad, and Anton Lundell would score to give the Panthers the 4-0 lead, but Jake Guentzel would score to get the Pens on the board. Then in the third period John Ludvig would score for the Pens, but Lundell’s second of the game would give the Panthers the 5-2 victory over the Penguins.
In Winnipeg the San Jose Sharks would come to town to take on the Jets, and in the first period Morgan Barron would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second and third periods the Jets would hold on to defeat the Sharks 1-0. Connor Hellebuyck would stop 17 shots to earn the shut out, and Kaapo Kahkonen would stop 38 of the 39 shots faced in the loss.

Tampa Bay Lightning v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
In Boston for a busy night in the NHL the Bruins would play host to the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Erik Cernak would net his first of the season for the Bolts to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Nikita Kucherov would score to grow the Bolts lead to two, but goals from Charlie McAvoy and James van Riemsdyk would tie the game at two for the B’s. Then after a scoreless third period and extra five minutes of hockey, it would be Brayden Point with the winner in the shootout as the Lightning would defeat the Bruins 3-2.
In Buffalo the Los Angeles Kings would come to town to face the Sabres, and in the first period JJ Peterka, Jordan Greenway, and Kyle Okposo would score to give the Sabres the 3-0 lead. In the second period Rasmus Dahlin and Zach Benson would score to grow the Sabres dominate lead to five. Then in the third period Alex Tuch and Jordan Greenway would strike to give the Sabres the 7-0 victory over the Kings.
In Montreal the Canadiens would faceoff with the Anaheim Ducks, and after a scoreless first period Jake Evans would score and Nick Suzuki would net a pair of goals to give the Habs the 3-0 lead. Then in the third period Juraj Slafkovsky and Brandon Gignac would score to give the Canadiens the dominating 5-0 victory over the Ducks.
In Ottawa the Columbus Blue Jackets would come to town to battle the Senators, and in the first period Dmitri Voronkov would strike for the Jackets, but a pair of goals from Brady Tkachuk and a goal from Claude Giroux would give the Sens the 3-1 lead. In the second period Boone Jenner and Jack Roslovic would score for the Jackets, but goals from Ridly Greig and Tkachuk, to complete the hat trick, would give the Sens the 5-3 lead. Then in the third period Thomas Chabot would score to give the Senators the 6-3 victory over the Blue Jackets.
In Toronto the Maple Leafs would take on the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period Bobby McMann and William Nylander would score to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead. In the second period Alexey Toropchenko would get the Blues back within one. Then in the third period McMann would net two more goals to complete the hat trick as the Maple Leafs would go on to defeat the Blues 4-1.
In Washington the Colorado Avalanche look to sweep the Capitals, and in the first period Ross Colton and Devon Toews would score to give the Avs the 2-0 lead, but goals from Beck Malenstyn and Connor McMichael would tie the game at two for the Caps. In the third period Artturi Lehkonen and Mikko Rantanen would score to give the Avs the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Alex Ovechkin would score to extend his goal scoring streak to six for the Caps to get back within one, but empty net goals from Lehkonen and Miles Wood would give the Avalanche the 6-3 victory over the Capitals.
On Long Island the Seattle Kraken would come to town to faceoff with the New York Islanders, and in the first period Matty Beniers would score for the Kraken to take the 1-0 lead. In the second period Kyle Palmieri would strike for the Isles to tie the game at one. Then after a scoreless third period and overtime, it would be Tomas Tatar with the winner in the shootout as the Kraken would defeat the Islanders 2-1.

Seattle Kraken v. New Jersey Devils – 7p ET
In Newark, the Devils welcomed the Kraken back to the Garden State and in the first a power play goal from Tyler Toffoli gave New Jersey the 1-0 lead. In the second, Jack Hughes scored his 16th of the year to give the Devs the 2-0 lead and then a Dawson Mercer goal put New Jersey up 3-0. In the third, Seattle got on the board when Will Borgen scored his second of the year but the Devils stood pat to get the 3-1 victory over the Kraken.
In New York, the Flames returned to the bright lights of Manhattan to take on the Rangers. After a scoreless first, New York took the 1-0 lead with Will Cuylle’s ninth of the year. In the third, Jimmy Vesey scored an empty net goal to give the Rangers the 2-0 shutout win over the Flames.
In Philadelphia, the Flyers hosted the Coyotes and in the first Arizona took the 1-0 lead when Matt Dumba scored his third. In the second, Philadelphia tied it up with a successful penalty shot from Morgan Frost but then Arizona re-took the lead with Matias Maccelli’s eighth of the year. Travis Konecny then responded when he scored his 25th of the year to tied the game for the Flyers once more however Alex Kerfoot scored his eighth as the ‘Yotes gained the lead once more. In the third a Jamie Drysdale goal tied it up for Philly once again and then Scott Laughton’s seventh of the year put Philadelphia in the lead. Owen Tippett then hit the empty netter as the Flyers got the 5-3 comeback victory over the Coyotes.
Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of February 5th through 11th.
First Star – Jacob Markstrom (G – CAL)
Jacob Markstrom would go a perfect 3-0-0 with 2.00 goals against average and a .939 save percentage in three games played for the Calgary Flames. Markstrom would open up his week with 21 saves in a 4-1 victory over Boston on Feb. 6th, and then on Feb. 8th he would make 37 saves in a 5-3 victory over New Jersey. Then to close out the week Markstrom would make 35 saves in a 5-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Feb. 10th.

Second Star – Sergei Bobrovsky (G – FLA)
Sergei Bobrovsky would go 2-0-0 with a 1.00 goals against average, a .966 save percentage, and one shutout in two games played for the Florida Panthers. On Feb. 8th Bobrovsky would make 21 saves in a 4-2 victory over Washington. Then on Feb. 10th he would make 35 saves in a 4-0 shutout victory over Colorado.

Third Star – Nick Suzuki (C – MON)
Nick Suzuki would record four goals and two assists for six points in three games played for the Montreal Canadiens. Suzuki would open up his week with two goals and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Washington on Feb. 6th, and then on Feb. 10th he would record a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Dallas. The on Feb. 11th Suzuki would end the week with one goal in a 7-2 loss to St. Louis.
