Montreal v. Minnesota – 4p ET
In Minnesota, the scoring would get started when Kati Tabin scored her first of the year to put Montreal up 1-0 and then Maureen Murphy scored her fourth as Montreal went up 2-0. In the second, Natalie Buchbinder netted her second of the year to put Minnesota on the board and then Lee Stecklein scored her second to even the score. Following a scoreless third and overtime, the game moved to the shootout where Erin Ambrose scored the game winner as Minnesota got the 3-2 win over Montreal.

Winnipeg Jets v. Washington Capitals – 12:30p ET
In Washington, the Capitals hosted the Jets and after a scoreless first and second periods, John Carlson scored his seventh of the year on the power play to put Washington up 1-0. Then, Alex Ovechkin scored a pair of goals as the Capitals shutout the Jets 3-0.
In the Mile High City, the Avalanche hosted the Penguins and in the first Pittsburgh got a pair when Jesse Puljujarvi scored his second of the year and then Bryan Rust scored his 22nd of the year. In the second, Sidney Crosby’s 34th of the year put the Pens up 3-0 and then Pierre-Olivier Joseph’s first of the year put Pittsburgh up 4-0. Sean Walker’s ninth of the year put Colorado on the board and then Yakov Trenin’s 11th of the year brought the Avs within two. In the third, Jonathan Drouin’s 12th brought Colorado within a goal and the Nathan MacKinnon netted his 44th as the Avs tied the contest. In overtime, Jonathan Drouin scored his second of the day and the game winner as the Avalanche scored five unanswered to down the Penguins 5-4.
In Long Island, the Islanders hosted the Devils and after a scoreless first, Timo Meier scored a power play goal to put New Jersey up 1-0. Then, Jack Hughes scored his 24th of the year to put Jersey up 2-0 and then Alexander Hotlz scored his 16th as New Jersey took the 3-0 lead. In the third, Chris Tierney scored on the empty net as the Devils shutout the Islanders 4-0.
Toronto Maple Leafs v. Carolina Hurricanes – 6p ET
In Raleigh, the Hurricanes welcomed the Maple Leafs and in the first, Brady Skjei scored his 12th of the year to put Carolina up 1-0 and then Sebastian Aho’s power play goal put the Canes up 2-0. Following the scoreless second, Toronto got on the board when Nicholas Robertson scored his 10th put the Hurricanes held on for the 2-1 victory over the Maple Leafs.
In Ottawa, the Senators hosted the Oilers and in the first Adam Henrique’s 20th of the year gave Edmonton the 1-0 lead but then Jakob Chychryn’s 10th of the year on the power play tied the contest. In the second, Leon Draisaitl scored on the power play to put Edmonton back up and then Zach Hyman scored his 50th on the year as the Oilers took the 3-1 lead. Tim Stützle then scored his 18th on the year as Ottawa came within a goal and then Drake Batherson’s power play goal tied the game for the Sens. In the third, Jakob Chychrun scored his second of the game to put Ottawa up 4-3 and then Parker Kelly scored an empty netter as the Senators downed the Oilers 5-3.
In Philadelphia, the Flyers hosted the Panthers and in the first Sam Reinhart scored his 49th of the year to put Florida up 1-0. In the second, Vladimir Tarasenko scored a power play goal to put the Panthers up 2-0. In the third, Carter Verhaeghe struck with his 32nd of the year but then Bobby Brink scored a power play goal to put Philadelphia on the board. Sam Reinhart then scored an empty net goal, his second goal of the night, as the Panthers downed the Flyers 4-1.
It would be the end of the streak as Ottawa would defeat Toronto 5-3 to end Toronto’s 11 game undefeated streak.

The PWHL Player Safety Committee announced that they have doled out a fine and a suspension.
Toronto defender Jocelyne Larocque would be suspended for one game for delivering a cross check to the head of a Boston player on March 20th.
Ottawa forward Tereza Vanisova would be fined $250 for boarding against New York on March 21st.

In the lone game of the day in the PWHL, Ottawa would play host to Toronto, and after a scoreless first period Natalie Spooner would score pair of goals to give Toronto the 2-0 lead, but Daryl Watts would score to get Ottawa back within one. Then in the third period Sarah Nurse would score for Toronto, but goals from Hayley Scamurra and Brianne Jenner, and pair of goals from Watts to complete the hat trick would give Ottawa the 5-3 victory over Toronto.
The heat is on in the NHL as teams continue to fight for playoff positioning as the regular season gets closer to its finish.

Winnipeg Jets v. New York Islanders – 1p ET
On Long Island for an early afternoon matinee, the New York Islanders would play host to the Winnipeg Jets. In the first period Vladislav Namestnikov would score for the Jets, but Cal Clutterbuck would net a pair of goals and Kyle Palmieri would score to give the Isles the 3-1 lead. In the second period Hudson Fasching, Mathew Barzal, and Anders Lee would score to grow their lead to five. Then in the third period Mason Appleton and Cole Perfetti would score for the Jets, but it would not be enough as the Islanders would defeat the Jets 6-3.
In Philadelphia the Boston Bruins would come to town to take on the Flyers, and after a scoreless first period Travis Konecny would score to give the Flyers the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Justin Brazeau and Danton Heinen would strike for the B;s, but Konecny’s second of the game and a tally from Tyson Foerster would give the Flyers the 3-2 victory.
In Minnesota the Wild would take on the St. Louis Blues, and in the first period Jake Neighbours would score to give the Blues the 1-0 lead. In the second period Jordan Kyrou would score for the Blues, but a goal from Marcus Johansson and a pair of goals from Marco Rossi would give the Wild the 3-2 lead. Then in the third period Kyrou would net a pair of goals to complete the hat trick to give the Blues the 4-3 lead, but Brock Faber would score to tie the game at four for the Wild to force overtime. In the extra frame Brandon Saad would score to give the Blues the 5-4 overtime victory over the Wild.
In Nashville the Predators would take on the visiting Detroit Red Wings, and after a scoreless 54 minutes of hockey it would be Filip Forsberg scoring the lone goal of the game as the Predators would defeat the Red Wings 1-0. Juuse Saros would stop all 22 shots faced to earn the shutout.
In New Jersey the Devils would faceoff with the Ottawa Senators, and in the first period Mathieu Joseph would score to give the Sens the 1-0 lead. In the second period Jesper Bratt and Tomas Nosek would score to give the Devils the 2-1 lead, but goals from Ridly Greig, Angus Crookshank, and Thomas Chabot would give the Sens the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Drake Batherson would score to give the Senators the 5-2 victory over the Devils.
In Toronto for Hockey Night in Canada the Maple Leafs would faceoff with the Edmonton Oilers, and in the first period Bobby McMann and William Nylander would score to give the Leafs the 2-0 lead. In the second period Pontus Holmberg would score a pair of goals and McMann would net his second of the game to grow the Leafs lead the five. Then in the third period Zach Hyman, Corey Perry, and Leon Draisaitl would score for the Oilers to get back within two, but Auston Matthews would score to give the Maple Leafs the 6-3 victory over the Oilers.
At Madison Square Garden the New York Rangers would play host to the Florida Panthers, and in the first period Matthew Tkachuk would score to give the Panthers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Eetu Luostarinen would score to grow the Panthers lead to two, but goals from Adam Fox and Artemi Panarin would score to tie the game at two for the Rangers. Then in the third period Carter Verhaeghe would strike while Panarin would net his second of the game for the Rangers for the game to go to overtime tied at three. After a scoreless five minutes of extra hockey it would be Panarin with the winner in the shootout as the Rangers would defeat the Panthers 4-3.

Carolina Hurricanes v. Washington Capitals – 7p ET
In Washington the Capitals would play host to the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Sonny Milano would score for the Caps, but goals from Sebastian Aho and Jaccob Slavin would give the Canes the 2-1 lead. In the second period Alex Ovechkin would strike on the powerplay and Milano would net his second of the game for the Caps, but goals from Aho and Brady Skjei would give the Canes the 4-3 lead. Then in the third period John Carlson would score and Milano would complete the hat trick for the Caps to take the lead, but then both the Caps and Canes would trade goals as Seth Jarvis would tie the game, then Connor McMichael would score to retake the lead for the Caps, but Aho would score to complete his hat trick for the Canes to force overtime with the game tied at six. After a scoreless overtime period Dylan Strome would strike in the shootout the give the Capitals the much needed 7-6 victory over the Hurricanes.
In Dallas the Stars would play host to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and in the first period both teams would trade goals as Michael Bunting would score for the Pens while Joe Pavelski would score for the Stars for the 1-1 tie. In the second period Jamie Benn would net a pair of goals to give the Stars the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period Rickard Rakell would score for the Pens, but Sam Steel would score to give the Stars the 4-2 victory over the Penguins.
The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that they have offered Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson an in-person hearing for his high stick on Toronto Maple Leafs forward Noah Gregor on Wednesday night.
Wilson is eligible to be suspended for 5 or more games due to it being an in-person hearing.

New York Rangers v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
In Boston, the Bruins hosted the Rangers and in the first Boston would go up 1-0 when Jake DeBrusk scored his 18th of the year. In the second, Artemi Panarin scored a pair of goals to put the Rangers up 2-1. In the third, Justin Brazeau scored his fourth of the year to tie the game for the Bruins but then Adam Fox scored his 13th of the year to put New York in the lead for good. Mika Zibanejad then scored his 23rd on an empty net to put the Blueshirts up 4-2 and then Artemi Panarin clinched the hat trick as he scored on the empty net to give the Rangers the 5-2 victory over the Bruins.
Philadelphia Flyers v. Carolina Hurricanes – 7p ET
In Raleigh, the Hurricanes hosted the Flyers and after a scoreless first, Jordan Martinook scored his 13th of the year to put Carolina up 1-0 but Scott Laughton’s 12th tied the game for Philadelphia. Then, Jalen Chatfield scored his eighth of the year as Carolina went up 2-1. In the third, Travis Konecny’s 28th of the year tied the game for the Flyers. In the overtime session, Seth Jarvis scored his 26th of the year as the Hurricanes eked past the Flyers 3-2.
In Detroit, the Red Wings hosted the Islanders and after a scoreless first, Christian Fischer scored his fifth to put Detroit up 1-0 but then Mike Reilly netted his fifth to tie the game for the Isles. Andrew Copp then scored his 11th of the year to put Detroit back up a goal and then Dylan Larkin scored his 27th as the Red Wings went up 3-1. In the third, Andrew Copp scored his second of the night as the Wings went up three and then Patrick Kane scored his 16th as Detroit made it a 5-1 game. New York then got a pair when Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his ninth on the power play and Mathew Barzal scored his 21st. Dylan Larkin then hit the empty net for his second goal of the night as the Red Wings got the 6-3 win over the Islanders.
In New Jersey, the Jets visited the Garden State to take on the Devils and after a scoreless first, the Devils went up 1-0 after Jack Hughes scored a power play goal. Nikolaj Ehlers 21st goal of the year would tie the game for Winnipeg. In the third, Nico Hischier struck with his 23rd of the year on the power play and then Jack Hughes scored his second power play goal of the contest as New Jersey went up 3-1. Then, Timo Meier scored the empty net game winner as the Devils took down the Jets 4-1.
In Ottawa, the Senators hosted the Blues and in the first St. Louis went up 1-0 when Brandon Saad scored his 21st of the year and then Colton Parayko scored his 10th as the Blues went up 2-0. In the second, Mark Kastelic scored his fourth of the year to put Ottawa on the board but then Jake Neighbours scored his 23rd of the year to put the Blues back up two. In the third, Dominik Kubalik scored his 11th to bring Ottawa within a goal once more but Jordan Kyrou scored his 22nd as St. Louis re-took the two goal lead. Jake Neighbours then scored his second of the night as the Blues got the 5-2 win over the Senators.
Nashville Predators v. Florida Panthers – 7:30p ET
In South Florida, the Panthers hosted the Predators and in the first Gustav Nyquist scored his 19th of the year to put Nashville up 1-0. In the second, Filip Forsberg scored a power play goal as the Preds went up 2-0. In the third, Filip Forsberg scored his second of the night as the Predators went on to shutout the Panthers 3-0.

In the DC for the first of two Pride Nights in the NHL the Washington Capitals would play host to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and in the first period Auston Matthews would score to give the Leafs the 1-0 lead. In the second period Alex Ovechkin would score on the powerplay and Connor McMichael would score a beauty from behind the net for his 15th of the season to get the Caps on the board, but Matthews would net his second of the game plus goals from William Nylander and Jake McCabe would give the Leafs the 4-2 lead. Then in the third period Ovechkin would net his second of the game for the Caps, but goals from Bobby McMann, Tyler Bertuzzi, and John Tavares would give the Maple Leafs the 7-3 victory over the Capitals.
In the second Pride Night game of the night, the Dallas Stars would play host to the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period Clayton Keller would score to give the Yotes the 1-0 lead. In the second period the Stars would respond as they would get goals from Logan Stankoven, Jamie Benn, and Tyler Seguin to take the 3-1 lead. Then in the third period John Leonard would score for the Yotes, but goals from Jason Robertson and Craig Smith would give the Stars the 5-2 victory over the Coyotes.
