Panthers G Roberto Luongo made 32 saves in his return to the lineup to earn his first win on the season and the 472nd of his career. He is 12 games away from tying Ed Belfour for third place all time on the regular season wins list.

Hoffman extended his point streak to nine games, a career-high.

-The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Colorado Avalanche 7-6 in overtime.

Elias Pettersson had a great game scoring two goals and had three assists for a five point game.

Pettersson is the 16th player in history to score at least 9 goals in his first nine career games.

-The Arizona Coyotes went on to defeat the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in overtime.

Coyotes Brad Richardson scored his League-leading third shorthanded goal of the season and Michael Grabner, 77 seconds into overtime, would score the game-winner.
