    There were two contests yesterday in Stanley Cup playoff action.

     

     

    CAROLINA 5, NY Islanders 2 (Carolina wins series 4-0)

     

    Round 2 - CARNYI - Game 3 - 4-0 CAR

     

    The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the New York Islanders last night by the score of 5-2 and in doing so, the Hurricanes have advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals and now await the winner of the Columbus Blue Jackets v. Boston Bruins series.

    Dallas 2, ST. LOUIS 1 (Dallas leads the series 3-2)

     

    Round 2 - DALSTL - Game 5 -3-2 DAL

     

    The Dallas Stars are one win away from advancing to the Western Conference Finals after their 2-1 win over the St. Louis Blues last night.

    Game 6 of this series takes place tomorrow (May 5th) afternoon at 3 p.m., ET.

     

    Today in Stanley Cup playoff action, there are two games taking place.

     

     

    The Columbus Blue Jackets visit the Boston Bruins, with the series being tied at 2 games a piece.  The action starts at 7:15 p.m., ET.

     

     

    In the other contest tonight, the Colorado Avalanche visit the San Jose Sharks with this series also being tied at 2 games a piece.

    There were two contests in Stanley Cup playoff action.

     

     

    BOSTON 5, Toronto 1 (Boston wins series 4-3)

     

    Game 7. 4-3 BOS

     

     

    The Boston Bruins defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs last night by the score of 5-1 and would go on to win this series in 7 games.  The Boston Bruins will now face the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round.

    SAN JOSE 5, Vegas 4 (OT) (San Jose wins series 4-3)

     

    The San Jose Sharks defeated the Vegas Golden Knights by the score of 5-4 in overtime and they would go on to win the series.  The San Jose Sharks will now face off against the Colorado Avalanche in the second round.

     

    Today in Stanley Cup playoff action is a win or go home for either the Carolina Hurricanes or the Washington Capitals.  The action kicks off at 7:30 p.m., ET.

     

     

    Second round action kicks off tomorrow (Thursday night).  The second round schedule is posted below with the either Carolina or Washington advancing.

    The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Washington Capitals yesterday to tie this series 3-3 with the win or go home game taking place tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m., ET at Capital One Arena.

    The Boston Bruins downed the Toronto Maple Leafs yesterday to send the series to a win or go home Game 7.

    The Maple Leafs will look to win the series, their first series win since 2004, when Game 6 takes place tomorrow (Sunday, April 21st) at 3 p.m., ET.

    The Colorado Avalanche would crush the Calgary Flames with a 5-1 and would go on to win this series 4-1.

    It was announced yesterday that Toronto Maple Leafs C Nazem Kadri has been suspended for the remainder of the first round of the 2019 Stanley Cup playoffs.
