    • The Pittsburgh Penguins announced that defenseman Kris Letang will be out indefinitely.
      • Letang suffered a stroke on Monday, but is not experiencing any lasting effects.
      • This is the second stroke Letang has suffered, with the first one happening 8 years ago.
      • Letang will be going over a series of tests over the next week.

    • Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pat Marron is taking the harsh words of Boston Bruins play by play commentator Jack Edwards, and turning it into a positive as he has donated $2,000 to Tampa Bay Thrives.
      • Tampa Bay Thrives is a nonprofit that assists those that are struggling with mental health and substance use issues.

    Game Recaps

    • Buffalo Sabres v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
      • In Detroit the Red Wings would go to battle with the Buffalo Sabres, and in the first period Jonatan would open the scoring for the Wings, but goals from Dylan Cozens and Mattias Samuelsson would give the Sabres the 2-1 lead. In the second period Cozens would net his second of the game and Jeff Skinner would score to grow the Sabres lead to three. Then in the the third period David Perron would strike and Oskar Sundqvist would score a pair of goals for the Wings to tie the game at four. After a scoreless overtime period it would be Jack Quinn in the shootout to give the Sabres the 5-4 victory over the Red Wings.
    • New York Rangers v. Ottawa Senators – 7p ET
      • In Ottawa the New York Rangers would come to town to take on the Senators who would be donning their Reverse Retro jerseys for the first time, and in the first period Jimmy Vesey would score to give the Rangers the 1-0 lead. In the second period Barclay Goodrow would score to grow the Rangers lead to two, but Shane Pinto would score to get the Sens on the board and back within one. Then in the third period Chris Kreider would score to give the Rangers the 3-1 victory over the Senators.
    • San Jose Sharks v. Toronto Maple Leafs – 7p ET
      • In Toronto the Maple Leafs would host the San Jose Sharks, and after a scoreless first period Matt Nieto would open the scoring for the Sharks, but Auston Matthews would score to tie the game at one for the Leafs. Then in the third period Pierre Engvall and Mitch Marner would score to give the Maple Leafs the 3-1 victory over the Sharks.
    • Edmonton Oilers v. Chicago Blackhawks – 930p ET
      • In Chicago the Blackhawks would take on the Edmonton Oilers, and after scoreless first period Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would open the scoring for the Oilers to take the 2-0 lead, but Boris Katchouk would score for the Blackhawks to get them on the board and back within one. Then in the third period Max Domi would net a pair of goals and MacKenzie Entwistle would score for the Blackhawks, but Draisaitl’s second of the game and tallies from Connor McDavid and Mattias Janmark would give the Oilers the 5-4 victory over the Blackhawks.

    • Carolina Hurricanes v. Pittsburgh Penguins – 7p ET
      • In Pittsburgh the Penguins would take on the Carolina Hurricanes, and in the first period Sidney Crosby would score to give the Pens the 1-0 lead. In the second period Martin Necas and Andrei Svechnikov would score to give the Canes the 2-1 lead. Then in the third period Jake Guentzel would strike late in regulation to tie the game at two for the Pens to force overtime, however, in the extra frame Brett Pesce would score to give the Hurricanes the 3-2 victory over the Penguins.
    • San Jose Sharks v. Montreal Canadiens – 7p ET
      • In Montreal the San Jose Sharks would come to town to take on the Canadiens, and in the first period Matt Nieto would score to give the Sharks the 1-0 lead. Then after a scoreless second period Tomas Hertl would score a pair of goals, and Logan Couture would score to give the Sharks the 4-0 victory over the Canadiens.
    • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Boston Bruins – 7p ET
      • In Boston the Bruins would rock the Pooh Bear as they host the Tampa Bay Lightning, and in the first period Taylor Hall would score to give the B’s the 1-0 lead. In the second period Steven Stamkos would score his 13th of the season to tie the game at one for the Bolts. Then in the third period Hall would net his second of the game and Brad Marchand would score to give the Bruins the 3-1 victory over the Lightning.
    • New York Islanders v. Philadelphia Flyers – 730p ET
      • In Philadelphia the Flyers and New York Islanders would pick up where they left off as they would start off with a couple of fights in the opening seconds of the game, but then as the first period would progress Noah Dobson would score to give the Isles the 1-0 lead, but Travis Sanheim would score to tie the game at one and then Kevin Hayes would score for the Flyers to take the lead. Then after a scoreless second period Hayes would net his second of the game with 34 seconds left in regulation to give the Flyers the 3-1 victory over the Islanders.
    • Anaheim Ducks v. Nashville Predators – 8p ET
      • It would be a Reverse Retro battle as the Anaheim Ducks would visit the Nashville Predators, and after a scoreless first period Colton Sissons would score to give the Preds the 1-0 lead. Then in the third period Troy Terry would score to tie the game at one for the Ducks. In overtime Roman Josi would score to give the Predators the 2-1 victory over the Ducks.
    • Colorado Avalanche v. Winnipeg Jets – 8p ET
      • In Winnipeg the Jets would play host to the Colorado Avalanche, and in the first period Blake Wheeler would score on the powerplay to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. In the second period Josh Morrissey and Wheeler’s second of the game would give the Jets the 3-0 lead. Then in the third period Mark Scheifele would score and Wheeler would complete the hat trick to give the Jets the 5-0 victory over the Avalanche.
    • Florida Panthers v. Calgary Flames – 9p ET
      • In Calgary Matthew Tkachuk would return with the Florida Panthers to take on the Flames, and in the first period Dillon Dube, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Rasmus Andersson would score to give the Flames the 3-0 lead. In the second period Nick Cousins and Sam Reinhart would score for the Panthers, but a tally from Brett Ritchie would keep the Flames ahead by two. Then in the third period Tyler Toffoli and Andrew Mangiapane would score to give the Flames the 6-2 victory over the Panthers.
    • Washington Capitals v. Vancouver Canucks – 10p ET
      • In Vancouver to start the western Canada portion of their road trip, the Washington Capitals would take on the Canucks, and in the first period Alex Ovechkin would score his 12th of the season and 792nd of his career to give the Caps the 1-0 lead. However, Ovechkin wouldn’t stop there as he would strike again to surpass Wayne Gretzky for most goals on the road (403) to give the Caps the 2-0 lead, but Nils Hoglander would score to get the Canucks on the board and back within one, but that that wouldn’t last as Anthony Mantha would strike to get eh Caps back ahead by two. In the second period John Carlson would score to grow the Caps lead to three. Then in the third period Martin Fehervary would net his first of the season to give the Capitals the 5-1 victory over the Canucks.
    • Seattle Kraken v. Los Angeles Kings – 1030p ET
      • In Hollywood the Seattle Kraken would come to town to take on the Los Angeles Kings, and in the first period both teams would trade goals as Anze Kopitar, Viktor Arvidsson, and Gabriel Vilardi would score for the Kings while Matty Beniers, Jared McCann, and Alex Wennberg would score for the Kraken for the 3-3 tie. Then in the second period Carl Grundstrom, Adrian Kempe, and Vilardi would score for the Kings, but Beniers and McCann would both net their second of the game, and Daniel Sprong, Oliver Bjorkstrand, and Andre Burakovsky would score to give the Kraken the 8-6 lead. Then in the third period Sean Durzi and Mikey Anderson would score to tie the game at eight for the Kings, but in overtime Burakovsky would net his second of the game to give the Kraken the 9-8 victory over the Kings.

    • New Jersey Devils v. New York Rangers – 7p ET
      • In New York City, the Devils visit to take on the Rangers. In the first, Artemi Panarin scores his sixth of the year to give the Rangers the early 1-0 lead and then Mika Zibanejad finds the net for his 11th goal this season to give the Blueshirts the 2-0 advantage. New Jersey gets on the board when Tomas Tatar finds the net with his seventh of the year and then the Devs tie the contest up when Yegor Sharangovich scores his seventh goal of the season. In the second, the Devils take the lead when Jack Hughes goes on to net his 12th goal of the season and then New Jersey takes the two goal lead when Michael McLeod strikes when he scores his third of the year. In the third, the Rangers come within a goal when Vincent Trocheck scores on the power play for his eighth goal of the year but then an empty net goal by Yegor Sharangovich, his second of the night, gives the Devils the 5-3 win over the Rangers.
    • Tampa Bay Lightning v. Buffalo Sabres – 7p ET
      • In Western New York, the Lighting make the trip to Buffalo to take on the Sabres. In the first, Brayden Point scores a power play goal, good for his ninth goal of the season, to give the Lightning the 1-0 lead and then Corey Perry gives Tampa Bay the 2-0 lead with his third goal of the season. Buffalo gets on the board when Tage Thompson scores his 14th goal of the season and then the Sabres tie the contest up when Jack Quinn scores his fourth on the year. In the second, Tyson Jost goes on to net his first of the year to give the Sabres the 3-2 lead but then Tampa Bay ties it up with a Brayden Point power play goal, his second goal of the game. In the third, the Sabres get a pair of goals when Dylan Cozens scores his sixth of the year and then Jeff Skinner scores his 10th of year to give Buffalo the 5-3 lead. Then, Tampa Bay gets a pair of goals when Steven Stamkos scores his 11th of the year and Brandon Hagel gets his seventh on the year on the Bolts power play to make this an even game at 5-5. In overtime, Steven Stamkos scores the game winner to give the Lightning the 6-5 win over the Sabres.
    • Toronto Maple Leafs v. Detroit Red Wings – 7p ET
      • In an Original Six in the Motor City, arch-rivals Toronto and Detroit continue their rivalry. In the first period, Moritz Seider finds the net for his second of the year to give Detroit the 1-0 lead but then an Auston Matthews goal, his 11th of the year, makes this a 1-1 game. William Nylander then scores a power play goal, his 13th goal on the season, to give the Leafs the advantage. Early in the second, the Maple Leafs take the two goal lead when Mitch Marner finds the net and scores his seventh goal on the year and then a Rasmus Sandin goal, his first on the season, gives Toronto the three goal lead over Detroit. In the third, Adam Erne scores his third of the year but that is not enough of a comeback as the Maple Leafs get the 4-2 win over the Red Wings.
    • Vegas Golden Knights v. Columbus Blue Jackets – 7p ET
      • In Columbus, the Golden Knights make the lone trip to take on the Blue Jackets. In the first, Vegas takes the 1-0 lead when William Karlsson scores his sixth of the year and then William Carrier nets his eighth of the year to give the Golden Knights the 2-0 lead. In the second, Johnny Gaudreau scores his eighth goal on the season to bring the Blue Jackets within one. In the third, Boone Jenner scores his ninth of the year to tie this contest for the Jackets. In the 14th round of the shootout, Paul Cotter scores the game-winner for the Golden Knights as they down the Blue Jackets for the 3-2 win.
    • Dallas Stars v. St. Louis Blues – 8p ET
      • In St. Louis, the Stars and Blues faceoff in a divisional match-up. After a scoreless first, Wyatt Johnston scores his sixth of the year to give Dallas the 1-0 lead. In the third, Ty Dellamdrea nets his fourth of the year to give Dallas the 2-0 lead but then a Brandon Saad goal, his fifth of the year, brings St. Louis within a goal. A Jason Robertson goal, his 19th, gives Dallas the two goal lead once more and then Miro Heiskanen scores the empty net goal as the Stars breeze by the Blue Jackets for the 4-1 win.
    • Florida Panthers v. Edmonton Oilers – 930p ET
      • In Edmonton, the Panthers take on the Oilers. In the first, Florida takes the 1-0 lead when Matthew Tkachuk goes on to score his 10th of the year. In the second, Edmonton ties it up with a power play goal from Connor McDavid, his 17th goal on the year. In the third, Tyson Barrie’s fourth goal of the year gives the Oilers the lead but then Anton Lundell’s fourth of the year ties the game for Florida 2-2. A Brandon Montour power play goal, his fifth on the season, gives the Panthers the one goal lead once more but then Evan Bouchard scores with five seconds left to tie the game for Edmonton. In overtime, Leon Draisaitl scores his 13th of the year as the Oilers down the Panthers 4-3.

    NHL Stars of the Week – Robertson Scores His Way to Top Honors

    Today the National Hockey League announced their Three Stars of the Week for the week of November 21st through 27th.

    First Star – Jason Robertson (LW – DAL)

    • In four games played for the Dallas Stars, Jason Robertson would record six goals and two assists for eight points. To open the week Robertson would score two goals in a 3-2 shootout loss to Colorado on Nov. 21st, and then on Nov. 23rd against Chicago he would score two more goals in a 6-4 victory. Then on Nov. 25th he would record two goals and an assist in a 5-4 overtime loss to Winnipeg, and to close out the week Robertson would record an assist in a 4-1 loss to Colorado on Nov. 26th.

    Second Star – Josh Morrissey (D – WIN)

    • Josh Morrissey would lead all defensemen in the NHL with three goals and four assists for seven points in four games for the Winnipeg Jets. Morrissey would open the week with his first career multi-goal game as he would record two goals in a 4-3 overtime victory over Carolina on Nov. 21st, and then on Nov. 23rd he would record an assist in a 6-1 loss to Minnesota. Then on Nov. 25th he would score his second overtime winner of the week in a 5-4 victory over Dallas, and to close out the week Morrissey would record three assists in a 7-2 victory over Chicago on Nov. 27th.

    Third Star – Ilya Sorokin (G – NYI)

    • Ilya Sorokin would backstop the New York Islanders to a 3-0-0 record in the three games that he played. Sorokin would record a 1.32 goals against average with a .963 save percentage, and one shutout during the week. To open the week he would make 30 saves in a 3-2 overtime victory over Toronto on Nov. 21st, and then on Nov. 23rd he would make 49 saves in a 3-0 victory over Edmonton. Then to close out the week Sorokin would make 24 saves in a 3-2 victory over Columbus on Nov. 25th.

      • In Minnesota the Wild would play host to the Arizona Coyotes, and in the first period Kirill Kaprizov would net his 13th of the season to give the Wild the 1-0 lead. In the second period Sam Steel would score to grow the Wild’s lead to two, but a late tally from Nick Schmaltz would get the Yotes on the board and back within one. Then in the third period Lawson Crouse and JJ Moser would score for the Yotes, but goals from Jared Spurgeon and Matt Boldy would give the Wild the 4-3 victory over the Coyotes.
    • Winnipeg Jets v. Chicago Blackhawks – 7p ET
      • In Chicago the Blackhawks would take on the Winnipeg Jets, and in the first period Jansen Harkins would score to give the Jets the 1-0 lead. In the second period Taylor Raddysh and Jujhar Khaira would score for the Blackhawks, but a pair of goals from Saku Maenalanen and tallies from Kyle Connor and Mark Scheifele would give the Jets a commanding 5-2 lead. Then in the third period Pierre-Luc Dubois would record a pair of goals to give the Jets the 7-2 victory over the Blackhawks.

In the extra frame Andrei Kuzmenko would score to give the Canucks the 4-3 victory over the Sharks.

      • In Los Angeles the Kings would take on the Ottawa Senators, and in the first period Brady Tkachuk would score to give the Sens the 1-0 lead.
