TXHT Jersey Share – Reversing Back to 2005

Ladies and gentlemen welcome to another edition of TXHT Jersey Share where today we take a look at the Washington Capitals Reverse Retro 2.0 jersey from the 2022-23 season.

With the return of the Reverse Retro series for the 2022-23 season the Washington Capitals thought it was so nice, they do it twice as they would return to the screaming eagle, but this time instead of doing the current Red, White, and Blue colors, they would go back to the Blue, Black, and Bronze of the 90’s and early to mid 2000’s.

The simple color swap of the Black and the Blue works nicely, and quite honestly, this looks a lot better than the 1.0 version a couple seasons earlier. It was also rumored that jersey was originally supposed to be the team’s alternate jersey back in the late 90’s, but the Dome jerseys ended up becoming the alternate’s instead.

Also, this time around there were more of these jerseys that were put into stock which means you didn’t have to get a really bad knockoff jersey. I mean seriously, look how way off the knockoffs were:

It’s not even close accurate lol. At least the first Reverse Retro line knockoffs were somewhat closer to resembling them lol.

But all in all, it’s a really great jersey, and one that the Caps themselves really enjoyed wearing. Definitely a must own for any Caps fan or jersey collector.
